The Big Ten Is Irrelevant - Again

The SEC has a lower win percentage against OOC top 10 teams (8.3%) than the B1G (60%), PAC 12 (57.1%), ACC (52.9%), Big 12 (25%) and AAC (16.7%) in the past 2 seasons.
How can that [Mark May]ty B1G conference have the highest OOC win percentage against top 10 teams? Unpossible.

So how many wins does the B1G have? Are they talking about the rankings at the time of the game? That's inherently flawed as the closer to the beginning of the year the less the rankings matter. Seems like a lot of jibberish (although yes, i like to see any time sec is shown to be fraudulent). Just like people taking total bowl win-loss records to rank conferences, with absolutely no attention paid to the quality of the opponents

It's mostly bowl games. This year we were 3-0 against top 10 teams, Last Year 1-1.

Here is one I just couldn't let go without commenting on:

MJS draft article

Bold is mine

Melvin Gordon*, RB, Wisconsin: 6-1, 215. Finished second in Heisman Trophy voting as fourth-year junior. "Unique runner," one scout said. "He's got a little bit of Jamaal Charles in him. Upright, fast runner. He's quick and has very good feet." Surpassed 100 yards in 22 of his 45 games. Also fumbled six times in his last five games. "He's good, but against those slow (expletive) Big Ten guys," said another scout. "That's what bothers me a little bit." Played at Kenosha Bradford. Ran 4.52.

2014
vs LSU 16 carries/140 yards/8.8 ypc
vs Auburn 34/251/7.4 ypc

2013
vs South Carolina 25/143/5.7 ypc
vs Arizona State 15/193/12.9 ypc

2012
vs Stanford 9/51/5.7 ypc

If I were the GM of this scouts NFL team, his ignorance would bother me more than a bit.

Slow (expletive) Ohio State held Gordon to 76 yards on 26 carries (2.9 average), so he must really suck.

That's got to be a Cleveland Browns' scout, because no one else would have this kind of stupidity in their employ...Seriously.
