4 of the B1G's losses were by 1, 2, 3, and 6 points.

I think the bigger potential issue is if there's a debate over a CFP selection. Sure the Buckeyes won the first ever CFP, but B1G teams have gotten ass raped in the semifinals two straight years which could swing an undecided voter or two.

Of course, money will always be part of the equation. But getting slaughtered on the biggest stage is never a good thing.
