Carmen’s Crew Defeats Defending Champion Heartfire, 74-70, to Advance to Quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament
A swished three-pointer off the hand of Jamel Morris pushed Carmen's Crew into the quarterfinals of The Basketball Tournament and sent the defending champions packing.
Ohio State’s alumni squad knocked off the defending tournament winners, Heartfire, in a 74-70 win in the TBT’s Dayton Regional final on Wednesday.
Kaleb Wesson led the way with 18 points. Jared Sullinger followed with 12 while Desonta Bradford and Morris hit double-figures with 11 and 10, respectively. Eric Washington and Marcus Hall led the way in Heartfire's losing effort with 18 and 14 points.

Carmen's Crew advances to play Takeover BC in TBT's quarterfinals at 7 p.m. Monday in Louisville. The game will be televised on FS1.

Carmen's Crew Dominates Takeover BC, 90-74, Advances to Semifinals of The Basketball Tournament
Carmen's Crew performed a hostile takeover of Takeover BC on Monday.
Making its quarterfinal opponent in The Basketball Tournament look more like a high school's junior varsity squad, the Ohio State alumni team advanced to the semifinals of the $1 million tourney in 90-74 fashion.
A 16-of-38 shooting performance (42.1%) from 3-point range carried the day for Carmen's Crew. A variety of shooters found consistent strokes, with Andre Wesson leading the way at 16 points and 4-of-5 from distance. Erick Neal and Desonta Bradford also hit double figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The sound of leather touching nylon on a rainbow 3-pointer never rang sweeter for Carmen's Crew than on Friday night.
Jamel Morris came off a screen, set up a good five feet behind the arc from the top of the key and nailed a 3-pointer to send Carmen's Crew to the Championship Game of The Basketball Tournament with a 76-70 win over La Familia, Kentucky's alumni team.
Jared Sullinger led the way for the team he led the charge in putting together, scoring 16 points and pulling in seven rebounds. Desonta Bradford was his top partner in crime with 15 points.

Carmen's Crew will face Forever Coogs, Houston's alumni team, with a TBT title and $1 million prize on the line at 2 p.m. on Sunday. A win would grant Carmen's Crew its second TBT title after it won the tournament in 2019. FOX will broadcast the affair.

I love watching this stuff but I'm totally confused on the roster. I can remember about 5 of them. I feel like a bad Buckeye because I don't know the rest of them.

Unsure of the entire roster but it's only 5 or 6 Buckeyes, most of the rest have Ohio roots. Sucks because the teams from years past were incredibly stackedI love watching this stuff but I'm totally confused on the roster. I can remember about 5 of them. I feel like a bad Buckeye because I don't know the rest of them.

I don't love that. They're plenty of Buckeye players to fill a roster called "Carmen's Crew" I would think. Hopefully Sully puts them on his back tomorrow
