Coaches have to say this because recruiting but I do hope there's some pressure going on behind the scenes.

Given we're talking about mostly public institutions politicians could push some buttons, although maybe they were already and brought us to the brink.

Depends on who gets the final say I would Guess. AD's coaches might be able to sway the decision. Presidents get involved and coaches are probably irrelevant other than if they can get their AD to go just as hard for them as they are to the AD.

We voted cancel in the conference. I'd be surprised if we jumped straight from "shut it down" to "SEC!SEC!SEC!" without passing GO.

Kabuki Theater. The coaches will do what's necessary to "have their players' backs," and at the end of the day, it will signify nothing. The board and President have made their decision, and despite what MGoSuckMyNuts thinks, the football coach has about as much chance of changing their minds as Harbaugh does of changing his board and President's mind.
