The 2020 College Football Season

There's also no way they are playing anyone from the B1G other than Northwestern, Rutgers or Maryland in November, especially on chickenshit Saturday...

Yeah, for all those saying "do it," you can pretty much count on no home games during the month of November. Not to mention a schedule that is rigged to the N'th degree to make Ohio State struggle.

Honestly, the conference should just put an end to any speculation in this regard and come out and say that there is zero chance of any Big Ten teams taking the SEC up on their offer. Just kill the whole idea dead and tell them to go fuck themselves.

And the more thought I give to this, I feel--given the huge number of obstacles to any Big Ten team taking them up on this--that it's all a pr stunt to thump their chest and say the B1G schools are afraid or the B1G schools aren't serious about football (particularly relevant in upcoming recruiting cycles) or whatever self-serving, foosball uber alles shit that's going through their tiny little minds.

In the least surprising development, the juggalos are now talking about using this year to supplant Ohio State as the football school in Ohio.

Good lord...if we keep going, how much market share could we steal? You have to figure that's on their minds at the moment.

The looming PR disaster that would result from conferences deciding to play while others shut it down alone is just too much. All it would take is 1 COVID flair up during the season and the shit storm of "THEY PUT THE PLAYERS SAFETY IN DANGER CAUSE MONEY" talk flinging from all directions. I dont even think the SEC is willing to take that risk. If 1 goes down they all do.

Makes sense. Lots of strands in the President-Duders' heads: legal, public health, public relations, government relations. Lotta in and outs to this case, and the desires of the coaches and players are certainly considered, but it's a small part of a big equation. What does that mean for what will happen in two hours?

My bad. November. They might send up Mississippi State or Vandy as some sacrificial lamb, but there's no way that Bama, LSU, or UGA are leaving the South in November.

but while we’re talking shit, lets not act like tOSU’s whopping one schedule trip ever into an SEC stadium is worth bragging about either.

Hell, since WWI ended, y’all have only played 3 non-bowl games (i.e. game y’all scheduled yourselves) inside the SEC footprint.
Note: i mean against power 5 teams, because i’m too damn lazy to see if y’all ever played some small shit school somewhere.

LSU has ventured into Big Ten territory 8 times since 1970.

I don't doubt that, though off the top of my head, I can think of thee since 1988: LSU, Tejas and Miami. Also, keep in mind that it was our policy not to take our black players into segregated states during Jim Crow. Woody was particularly adamant about that.

Ok I’ll bite, I see LSUs record against the B1G as 9-5-1...I see home/homes against OSU and Indiana and a trip to Green Bay to play Wisconsin with a Home game too...what else am I missing?
