Thad Matta (OSU's All Time Winningest Coach & 3x B1G COY, Butler HC)

Tom crean for Indiana seems to be in line to re-build the basketball program ever since there big win over Kentucky. I wonder what is the feeling between Coach Matta and coach crean. Do they respect each other or is there any friction between them. I seem to remember an incident that was not to pleasant between the coaches at the Indiana game last year.

This Indiana ball team seems to have some pretty good players and should Ohio State be concerned or is it just another BiG Ten ballgame that we have to deal with. Is Indiana that good right now. To me they could be a threat.
I believe there is some bad blood there.

Also, IMO IU is very good this year. They will certainly be a tough matchup. Zeller is looking like the real deal.

going back at least a decade, this ohio state team has the most efficient defense (points per possession).

we're also 16th in the nation for offensive efficiency. my guess is that the gap between the two efficiencies is easily the largest in a very long time. i don't know if we have the outside shooting to win 6 consecutive games at the end of the season, but we certainly have the dynamic to beat anyone.

Coach is currently tied with a scuMer...if you haven't voted do it now. And congrats coach for another 20 win season.:oh:
This appears to be a promotion for a good charity (Ronald McDonald House) in Columbus, but it really is just another attempt by ESPiN to link your URL with a particular team for marketing purposes. Personally, I would rather donate directly to the charity.

Congratulations, Coach Matta, on another 20-win season. Now, bring home the national championship.

going back and reviewing Matta's tenure here I must say that he has proven to be worth every dime and then some. Matta has overseen the placement of OSU at the top of the B1G and one of the top 10 programs (probably top 5) in the nation for going on 7 years.

He isn't a one trick pony either. He has won with great talent....with young talent....with wiser but lesser talent.....with offense and with defense.

The guy is developing just as much as his players are developing. He is even building a pretty impressive coaching tree.

i hope ohio state fans appreciate how great matta is and how much he has progressed. i know i'm biased, but i can't think of anyone else i would want running our program.
