Texas fans are a split bunch(@AuTX Buckeye , correct me if I'm wrong here). Their old school fans and fans 35+ are the main rabid vocal fan base that you hear about. They're the ones who talk like their poop doesn't stink and that they have a rightful place among the CFB elite.
Then you have your millenial fan base who is far more bandwagon, and is indifferent when they are bad-mediocre and rabid when they're good.
I see the major difference between them and scUM/Pedsters, is that literally all of the scUM/Pedsters are rabid and egotistical. I married a lifelong Pedster(from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA) fan, and thankfully was able to convert her to being a Buckeye, but her family is insanely loyal to Ped St, and worships JoePa. And I see scUM fan base still worshipping Bo, to the fact that they're willing to deal with Hairball and his antics because he played for Bo, and they're fan base will forever be indebted to Bo.
Darrell Royal is worshiped, but not like the other 2 in the eyes of the younger fan base.
