Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

This is absolutely bonkers. Sarkisian was "okay" at U-W and was 12-6 at USC before the booze got him terminated. I'd LOVE to hear the rationale behind this move.
Meh...maybe I’m a softy but I wonder how much his disease contributed to that. By all accounts he’s significantly sharper across the board, and has seen the ultimate blueprint to running a program.

Again, he could still be a colossal failure, and Texas is certainly set up to always be that way, but I’m willing to see how much would be due to a Sark after dark redux.

Saban saw urban messing with them and took a few minutes out of laughing at nd game film to get sark to convince texass he'd take the job so they'd fire herman, then turn them down so they have to make a panic hire. That or saban and urban will announce themselves as co-head coaches at which point Riley, day, smart, and Kelly will all resign to beg for positions on their staff.

Better than, if not significantly better than Kiffin. Just not sure he's the guy you fire Herman for. Could be good, but it's a reach for what's considered a top program.
