I don't see a way out of this. They shot their NIL load into the jar this year, and that class is already collapsing like a poorly engineered bonfire. Their fans will do some serious nut squeezing because it's going to be a rough few years
yep even with Oil money they probably need under 30 Mil buyout before they can think about firing him unless he does something really dumb and gives them a way out of that buyout

Are the freshman transferring? Buying a recruiting class isn’t an immediate thing, but should provide results after 1-2 years. So I would expect modest improvement next year, but a big jump in 2024 when they are juniors. Provided they are still around and developed well, and boosters are still shelling out the cash through the losing years.

I mean Jimbo is struggling to manage the locker room issues that happen when the freshman are making millions and the upper class man are making next to nothing. So that can cause some issues for the first few years of this Nil thing.

He's in year 5. Coaches rarely get more than 2-3 to prove it. He has not produced anything. The only time they lost less than 4 games was during a covid shortened season. His results very closely mirror his weak final year at FSU.

His boosters bought him the greatest recruiting class in history, and he rewarded them with a 7 loss season, soon to be 8.

The chances of those recruits, or Jimbo, being around in for Jimbo's 7th year, is exceptionally low. Buyouts do not mean anything to oil money.

They also signed about 75 blue chip DL. They weren't going to stay if it went well.

Now that it's a train wreck? Hello Mark Pantoni.
