West Virginia is about to get a talent influx.

Ya think WVU can outbid schools like Da U (i.e. John Ruiz)? Hell, Joey Freshwater is likely to be an active bidder too:

Hayes: Lane Kiffin isn't going anywhere, but he's taking Ole Miss to new heights

College football has dramatically changed in the past 2 years, a shift so momentous, it has allowed those who couldn’t imagine playing for it all to suddenly rock the establishment of Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. Name, image and likeness and unfettered player movement have created free agency in college football — and without a salary cap.

Kiffin doesn’t like it and has spoken out against it. But he also understands it’s the way to the nation’s elite for Ole Miss.

Earlier this month, there was a fundraising event at The Inn in Oxford, and the subject matter was just what you’d think: the NIL world and how to keep up with the ever-changing college landscape.

The same change that allowed Kiffin to upgrade the Ole Miss roster this offseason with as many as 13 starters from the transfer portal. Not just plug-and-play guys, but elite impact players.

I want none of their cast-offs.

I wholeheartedly trust our staff and evaluation at the current point in time so go after the one's you really want but don't offer NIL money up front. Coach em up and continue to build the chemistry and the brotherhood. Players like the A&M crew can only divide a house like they are doing in College Station

I'm sure a lot of the upper level schools will be very weary of these types of castoffs.

No use risking a mess in the locker room. I could see mid level P5s coming in droves for them though hoping to hit paydirt.

The whole history of run away spending on a mediocre football program seems to center on aTm. They tripled what was then the going rate for a head coach to get Jackie Sherrill. A couple of years of some success was followed by a suspension over “irregularities” and a return to mediocre.

First of many?

Seems to me he's getting a lot of opportunities to punt right where he is no? Yuk yuk

Unfortunately he isn't.

Guerrieri, a junior from College Station, has not attempted a kick in his collegiate career. He's fallen behind on the depth chart this season, as punter Nik Constantinou and kicker Randy Bond have dominated time in the kicking game. Caden Davis is listed as the second-string kicker.

Son of legendary A&M soccer coach to join Aggie football team
Alan committed to the A&M program as a preferred walk-on. The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect won a state title with the Cougars as a junior and was named the District 8-5A-I Special Teams Player of the Year this season. He was 5-for-7 on field goal attempts with a long of 37 yards. He also averaged 39.5 yards per punt while making 48 of 49 extra point tries.

Just sayin': He was just a walk on that never played, so who at aTm even cares?
