Texas 33, Texas Tech 39 (Final)

just watching the highlights and thinking that it would be pretty cool to see a team like TTU win it all. i don't think a team like that has won a NC in my lifetime. (none come to mind at least)

Agreed, although I would get annoyed at all of the bandwagon Tech fans coming out down here if they were to win, it would be cool to see a team out of the norm winning it all.

That pass was just ridiculous. The confidence in the receiver to just chuck it up for grabs...wow. And the safety definitely played that badly.

The safety should have stayed deeper, and knocked him out of bounds with about 3 seconds left. Which FG kicker would Leach have sent out, or would he have had sent Harrell out there? I wouldn't have been shocked to see the offense out there, since the FG kicker would have had a tough angle and be shitting bricks before the snap.

Wow, what a [censored]ing game. We were at a bar and the place went ape[censored] when Crabtree caught it, toed the line and raced in. I kept saying the entire 2nd half the horns would come back and win and proven wrong or not, I found myself screaming along with everyone else.

those two share a brain i think. do they have another year together?
Like was said above, Harrell is a Senior and the reciever will likely be a top-5 pick next April.

Anybody else think this win springboards Mike Leach on to a bigger job...maybe up in Seattle? He'd have the luxury of blaming Ty Willingham for a couple of seasons.

FWIW, Texas really beat the crap out of TTU in the second half. other than the pick 6 it was domination.

...and TTU really beat the crap out of Texas in the first half, so who cares? And I wouldn't say the second half was domination by Texas besides the pick 6--did you not see the last drive in which Texas' defense rolled over and let TTU drive 70 yards in about 1:20?

I was thinking the same thing when I was watching that game. Washington would be interesting but does he want to have to rebuild that program. Maybe Tennessee, Auburn, or even Clemson might come calling. Tennessee would certainly have the money.

I have no idea what the Red Raiders have coming back next year but with the two being bananas gone and probably some of their other WRs gone. I think he would be smart to move on if he gets a chance.

Re: the game and the last play I just don't understand why Texas when have completely taken Crabtree out of the game by bracketing him in some manner. I know they have other weapons but no one comes close to his ability to catch the ball in traffic.

It looks like they tried. There were 2 UT defeners on him. Harrell made a good throw, and Crabtree made a helluva play on the ball.

those guys certainly did not do their job very well but Crabtree is one hell of a wide receiver. I can remember seeing a college WR with hands like his.
