Ponder with me if you will...

Say that the receiver catches that touchdown pass...

...also say that the receiver catches that shovel pass

This game is 14-17 right now...Texas's ball in 'Bama territory...

It seems to me like the whole Texas team is a nervous/afraid/antsy whatever...
Let's say everything else after the first five minutes of the game goes down according to script. If Texas doesn't lose McCoy on those first two possessions, they've got at least 10-14 points, I think.

I do feel bad for the Texas seniors, they rely on a virgin QB in the NC game after the star QB goes out.....that must suck.

After this game, I wonder how many juniors Texas is going to lose entering the draft.

After this bowl season, I'm still surprised that everyone is acting like this game is LITERALLY over...

...figuratively, absolutely...

But it's still only a two possession game, and as long as Texas's defense is on the field, anything can happen...

I'll finally shut up once 'Bama makes it 31, but in all honesty anything can happen...

This sucks so much. I really wanted to see both teams at full strength. I hate to see a National championship cheapened like that, as the Horns will always say that Bama got lucky. Who can say that McCoy hurt is not a complete game changer? Short horn fans are exactly like Bama fans in their level of entitlement, so they will never admit that Bama's running game would have ground them down anyway. Oh well.

I agree, I think Bama would've ground out a win anyway. But it sure would've been nice to see them battle it out with McCoy on the field.

People will say Texas is failing in other areas, but you're talking about 20 year old kids. If you don't think McCoy's departure affected the entire team all you have to do is look at how we reacted when he left. We said they were done, and that thought had to go through the Texas players' minds, too. It's easy to say they need to suck it up and play, but it's another thing to actually do it against a tough team in the biggest game of the year.

Oh well, only 8 months until next season. :sad2:

18 points is two possessions?? My math says no.
