Several sources (other than just fake Twitter accounts) are reporting that it is Pruitt.

After all of this, they hire Jeremy Pruitt? Maybe 20% of CFB fans outside of the SEC even know who this guy is. I don’t wish ill on the guy, but I wouldn’t mind seeing UT go winless in the SEC and finish at the bottom of the SEC lEAST again next year (and again the following year). Couldn’t happen to a better fanbase.

I find it hilarious that Tenn fans are trying to convince everyone and themselves this is a good hire.

Yeah sure run out the DC guy who has HC experience in the NFL and college, but hire the guy that is a DC with pretty much no experience.

Jeremy Pruitt leaving Alabama after two years? This must be fake news. I have heard that Alabama keeps their DCs for 9+ years.

According to his Wiki page he has a grand total of 5 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level, three of which were as a DC. He coached 7 years of high school ball and was never a HC there.

Awfully hot fire to be thrown into for your first HC gig at any level.
