Teams Ohio State Needs to Lose

Stanford isn't getting in over OSU with 2 losses.
Florida has about as much chance of beating Bama as me and 10 guys from my office.
The loser of Sparty-Iowa isn't getting in ahead of OSU. Iowa's schedule is too weak and 2 losses are 2 losses even if Sparty has them.
Oklahoma clinches tonight.

The PAC 12 are out, ND is out, Alabama and Oklahoma are in, the B1G title game winner gets a bid, so the only way the Buckeyes have a shot is if UNC can win the ACC and the committee values our body of work more than the Tar Heels.

MSU's 2nd loss is really bad too... and CFP seemed to also keep that Michigan debacle in mind. So the loser of Big CCG is not a concern, but it's probably best for us if MSU blows the doors off Iowa and makes a strong case to be top2. Just appearances then, a very close loss in a monsoon isn't as damning as some other losses out there.

UNC is dodgy. They'd be a champ... and a win over #1 in the country with an early season 2014 VT-esque loss. ACC is in.

The ticket is UF over Bama. Don't see it happening, but stranger things have happened.

Agree it's a moot point now. Disagree you could say the same about osu. Oklahoma states OOC was at Central Michigan, vs central Arkansas, and vs Texas-San Antonio.

I was looking more at the underwhelming results you mentioned. We didn't impress anyone against the 3 mid majors we played either.
VTech once again shit the bed, and just barely reached bowl eligibility. Losing to MSU didn't just screw us in terms of being champs, but it also screwed our schedule and resume big time. We were looking at 3 potential victories over top15 teams... instead, we'll have 1.

Oklahoma's one loss to Texas is also worse than OSU's one loss to MSU, but I don't think the committee will give that enough weight to put us in over Oklahoma. I would love to see the B12 meltdown if they got bumped by OSU, though. The agony would be gorgeous.

The exact way I see it as well...

Agreed. Hate to say it, but I think UNC gets in over us if they knock off #1. Our only chance (and I get that it's a million to one) is Alabama loses. and while we're playing pie in the sky, it'd be nice if usc beat Stanford to remove all doubt.

I agree. I think that extra game (win) is huge. That's why we got in last year and why we're out this year unless epic chaos next week in the CCGs...

UNC lost to an amazingly awful 3-9 team though, I think that would be taken into great consideration
You sound like the weeping vagina. Did you watch that game, UNC dominated the game, but everything went the way of USC. Plus it was week 1. I'd have no problem for them getting in. With the ND loss, they have a clear path. Right now there is only one way this gets interesting, a Bama loss. Do you go with a TERRIBLE 2 loss gator team that won the SEC. A 2 loss but well thought of Stanford team that just beat ND and USC to win the PAC, or a 1 loss OSU, which is obviously better, but didn't win their conference and has a 3 pt loss to a team that won their conference. I think they go with 4 best, which would include OSU at 4. These are the onliy possibilities, of course 2 and 3 could flip:
Most Likeley
Clemson, Bama, Iowa/MSU, Oklahoma
Could Happen, would like to see Bama with the confidence of a #1
Bama, Iowa/MSU, Oklahoma, UNC
I will be cheering for:
Clemson, Iowa/MSU, Oklahoma, Chaos
This would be cool as well, but very unlikely:
Iowa/MSU, Oklahoma, UNC, Chaos
