Like I said, #2's not exactly low. :!
It was Ivan Maisel that had tOSU #1.
LOL... when will you guys realize that there is no vendetta? ESPN absolutely does not give a shit about Ohio State, or any other school. they care about money and ratings. who gets stepped on is irrelevant in their perspective. they are not 'throwing us a bone' when some of their staffers think that Ohio State is #1. it's what they think. and it's an opinion that is formed with the viewing interests of the public and the investors in mind.Stuart Mandel and Dennis Dodd (SI.com and CBSSportsline.com respectively) did too.
I've become so sour on ESPN that even when they throw us crumb like this, I have to think it's a put-on.

viewing the world from such a defensive and Buckeye-centric perspective is not healthy.

Goodbye Buckeyes, Hello Auburn! :pHow 'bout when they cause a shit storm for some other school?
Man, did I hear THAT!!!How 'bout when they cause a shit storm for some other school? ESPN is nothing more than entertainment. The only facts they use are the scores.
I'd forgotten that was his nickname.
Yes, I'm quoting myself. :tongue2:Correct. Good ole' Mike Freeman, who left the NY Times for the IndyStar, then was released by the IndyStar in disgrace after it was discovered he'd lied on his resume, now settled in Jacksonville, where he continues with a once-a-year "I hate the Buckeyes" column.
He certainly has an axe to grind and an agenda, but it's going on five years now and nobody can figure out for why or what that is. My take is that he is the original (to borrow from aesculus glabra's post) "Woodward and Berstein" wannabe, who took his shot at the system of big time college athletics with his story on Clarett and McGill, and lost, now he's just bitter.

Look who is baaaaack. Mike Freeman has new digs. In true Freeman style, he burned all his bridges in Florida after angering a few hundred thousand Gator fans on radio and in print, so he's now off to a new job where he's sure to be fired from in a year, and this one is a whopper.
Dennis Dodd has some competition at CBS as SportsLine's biggest douchebag.
Oh, and Freeman, never one to shy away from controversy, takes a parting shot at the Gators fans who ran him out of town by calling some of them racists:

With Dodd and Freeman both on the case, any ink Ohio State gets in the coming months from CBS is probably not going to be very good.
