Teacher throws book at kid...

BUCKYLE;752680; said:
I don't think it matters if the nose started bleeding as to weather or not it is assault. I was only stating that the teacher threw it pretty hard to give someone a bloody nose.

IMO, "assault" would be factor if his nose was broke.
Kids get bloody noses all the time... I used to get one everytime my nose hit anything even remotely hard.

I'm not the one calling it assault. The police who arrested the teacher are.

Maybe he won't shut up. If not, then do they hold him down and beat him with a bar of soap in a pillow case?

I hope I have children, and I hope a teacher pulls some shit like this. These people are entrusted to take care of children during the day. Send the little fucker to the office, call his parents, suspend/ expell him. You'll get no argument from me. But to say that a teacher has "the right" to abuse a child, and I call bullshit.

eh to many parents think their kids are angels and do nothing wrong. Like I said it will teach the kid a lesson.

I understand what you're sayin'. I'm not defending the kid. He most likely is a problem everyday, and I sypathize with teachers who have to deal with kids like this everyday. However, it is a 12 year old kid. This teacher shouldn't be allowed to teach anymore.

Oh, and as for assault...

Law. an unlawful physical attack upon another; an attempt or offer to do violence to another, with or without battery, as by holding a stone or club in a threatening manner.

I agree too many parents think that. Yes, it will teach that kid a lesson. I just don't think that teacher should be allowed around children in a supervisory role ever again. Obviously they can't handle the pressure or emotional stress that comes with making children behave.

I know the definition of assault, especially in a legal sense, the family obviously has legal grounds to go there, and did. I'm just saying, I think it's sad that it did go there and it's not a very good solution the problem.

Kind of like throwing a book at a child, huh?

Or the teacher gets the lesson and picks the wrong kid to mess with.

Psycho Dad Theme Song

Who's that riding in the sun?
Who's the man with the itchy gun?
Who's the man who kills for fun?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

He sleeps with a gun
but he loves his son
Killed his wife 'cos she weighed a ton.
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

A little touched or so we're told
Killed his wife 'cos she had a cold
Might as well she was gettin' old
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

He's quick with a gun
And his job ain't done.
Killed his wife by twenty-one,
Psycho Dad!

Who's that riding in the sleigh?
Who's that firing along the way?
Who's roughing up bums on Christmas day?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad

Who's the tall, dark stranger there.
The one with the gun and the icy stare.
The one with the scalp of his ex-wife's hair!
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad!

Who's that riding across the plain?
Who's lost count of the wives he's slain?
Who's the man who's plumb insane?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad

He's a durn good pa, but he hates the law.
He's likes to eat it raw, He's Psycho Dad!

Now you're just throwing out a strawman. I never said the teacher's actions were justified... I clearly said I'd prefer to see these situations handled "in house". There is a middle ground between lynching the teacher and letting them off without any punishment...

And I never said the kid wasn't an asshole. I'm just saying I have no sympathy for an adult that "couldn't" handle a child without beating him up.

Look, if this were my kid, and just to be clear, most all kids at one time or another don't shut up, that teacher would be lucky to be in jail. The teacher had no right to throw anything at a kid. Fucking pathetic.

I'm not a parent, so it's not like I really have to worry about it.

That being said, if my brother were to call me and tell me something like this had happened to one of my nieces or nephews, I'd spend a few nights in jail to prove a point.

Yeah, like when a teacher of mine in 7th grade grabbed a kid by the tie and choked him. The kids dad came to school and showed us what assault was. That was funny.

Great example for the kids there. whaaaa dont throw and book at my kid, but if you do I'm gonna come beat you up. So did the little wussies dad go and beat up any bosses when he gets in trouble at work now?

:shake: Yes because violence is a great way to show that you are against violence

The dad didn't beat up the teacher because his kid "got in trouble", he did it because his son came home with bruises on his neck from where the teacher choked him up against the lockers, the whole time the kid was crying, telling him he couldn't breathe. The principal had to step in and stop him.
