TE Louis Irizarry (official thread)

My opinion: If the student affairs group (or whatever it's called), approves Izz. for admission to OSU, after he has been dismissed from the University, then let him return as a student. Football is another matter. In order to even consider Izz. for OSU sports again, he would have to be in school for a year or so with a spotless record, academically and in behavior.

I think the best thing for Izz. and OSU is for Izz. and his family to find another college (assuming Izz. wants to attend at college level school), that will accept Izz. He can enter another school with a fresh start and make his way without the baggage he brings to Ohio State. I'm sure there are several top notch colleges that would allow Izz. to enter...and to play football for them.

Tressel has been in the business of shaping mens lives longer than most people on the board. He will do what is appropriate.

Sorry, not buying that this time. This is not a case where we are all ignorant of the facts. I agree that it is up to JT whether he should bring LI back or not (I don't believe it is even under consideration), but it is also up to us to change our opinion of JT if he should. And I would.

WOW! Didn't know anything about this till today. Without Tressel I have trouble believing in YSU going back to wining as many championships as they did. BUT, maybe John Heacock is just searching for the right players and personnel? Hopefully, Izzary, can get his shit together and get back to playing ball like he once did so well in high school. Any info on his buddy Ira Guilford?
