TE Jeremy Ruckert (New York Jets)

Their TE this round will likely catch more passes. Ruckert on the other hand will still catch a lot of passes, but also learn to block and be a key part of every play regardless of if the ball is coming his way, while at the same time play for multiple championships and beat his rival 4 times.

I think Meyer has proven time and again that he'll tailor his offense to the talent, not the other way around. Playmakers like Ruckert will get the ball.

I think the most surprising part of this is that the B1G (outside of Ohio State) has 7. That's on par with the SEC currently (though likely to change.) I didn't realize that the rest of the B1G recruited.

And none of them are scUM commits.
Ped state is recruiting well and I think has 3 of the 7. The rest of the big ten though, much like the SEC bottom feeders (everyone not named bama), are starting to get 1-2 top 100 players every cycle. Very good for the conference to have 2-3 really elite players on every team that can help sway a bowl game.

I would have thought Illinois had the other seven.

I kid. I kid. No pun intended.

Also the way Nebraska's been recruiting, they'll be a problem in a few years

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Ohio State five-star tight end commit Jeremy Ruckert and Lindenhurst, New York, walloped division rival Connetquot, 45-12, on Wednesday night.

The 6-foot-6, 238-pound Ruckert got the scoring started for the Bulldogs, as he returned a tipped pass 12 yards for a touchdown while playing defensive end. He also added a 29-yard touchdown reception and a 31-yard field goal in the win.

After the game, Ruckert told 247Sports' Alex Gleitman he's 100 percent locked in with Ohio State.

“I haven’t been speaking to any other school. I’m all in and trying to recruit other guys. I’m not one to back out of anything,” he said. “I see a lot of things on Twitter, but I don’t follow on any of that. I just try to focus on making the best impact that I can next year. I’m not going early, so I’ve just been doing the workouts and trying to figure out how to make the best impact as early as I can.”
