TE Jake Stoneburner (Official Thread)

BG $

10/30

Talks about being honored as a US Army All-American and talks about the upcoming Ohio playoffs.

Although Mike and Jake have a game and probably won't spend the day at Ohio Stadium, look for them to make at least an appearance...and I'm sure after their game they will be meeting up with the recruits in town.

How many does that give us in the game this year?

Posey, Buchanan, Adams and Stoneburner are in, as far as commits go. Pryor and Jenkins are in as well, as are players such as Kenny Tate, Kyle Long and Kyle Rudolph. You can bet Brewster will be picked eventually as well.

DeVoe Torrence and Ohio's Michael Shaw have been picked to play in the O-D All-American Bowl, FWIW.

Quite a game. Gahanna gave Coffman one heck of a ballgame.

Jake turned a few short passes into monster gains, one for a TD. He also put his team in position for the go ahead score (6 min left), but Stoudt's pass was intercepted at the goalline (ending an otherwise dominant series). Coffman later stopped Gahanna on 4th down and went in for the leading score.

Will have photos up tomorrow, and hopefully video during the week.

Dublin Coffman's Jake Stoneburner heads for a second-quarter touchdown with a 29-yard reception against Gahanna.

There were many times last night when Dublin Coffman didn't look like a playoff team, let alone an unbeaten one.
A Shamrocks field goal was blocked, they fumbled a punt and lost two other turnovers in a first-round Division I playoff against visiting Gahanna.
When it counted, though, Coffman showed why it has zero losses by scoring two touchdowns in the second half, including the winner on a 1-yard run by Jared Phillips with 2 minutes, 34 seconds remaining, in a 28-21 victory over the Lions.
