He reminds me a lot more of a Dwayne Jarrett-type than someone like Clark.

Jake,
All of OSU country will be cheering you on with the rest of the OSU commits in the 2008 US Army All American Game. Have a great time in San Antonio and make sure you leave Texas with Jenkins and Pryor in the fold.
Go Bucks!

One thing I've noticed after listening to Jake and the other commits is how well-spoken and thoughtful their answers seem to be. Looks like JT won't have a whole lot of work to do on them when media addressing day comes around.

Rivals $

1/10

By Mike Parris...great Army bowl breakdown of Rudolph versus Stoneburner and their future roles at ND and OSU, respectively.

Upset that Rivals bumped him out of top100. He will be a big-time playmaker, no doubt in my feeble mind. There were too many at ArmyBowlcamp for everyone to shine, imho. You da man, Jake! I'll know you'll bring it.

Very excited to see Jake this spring at the spring game. I strongly believe several 2008 players will be pushing to get on the field immediately. Jake has that potential.:osu:

I really believe that anyone of he, Posey, or Thomas have a great opportunity to see the field with how gifted they are...

There's no place like home

Dublin native Stoneburner one of solid receivers in class of 2008

Frank Blechschmidt

Issue date: 1/28/08 Section: Sports

With a name like Stoneburner, one of Ohio State's newest wide receivers is going to make puns much too easy for Brent Musburger and Paul Keels.

Dublin Coffman senior Jake Stoneburner verbally committed to OSU, equipped with a 6-foot-6-inch frame and 4.46 speed in the 40. Considering this striking combination of size and speed, opposing Big Ten cornerbacks might have their hands full in the coming years.

"He's going to be able to create a lot of mismatches because he's a big guy that can run the field," said Kevin Noon, recruiting analyst for rivals.com. "With his size and speed, he's going to exploit a lot of defenses because you can't just put a (5-foot-11-inch) corner on him."

Stoneburner is rated as a four-star recruit on rivals.com and the No. 3 prospect in Ohio on bucknuts.com, behind fellow OSU commits Mike Adams and DeVier Posey.
