That's a very fair comparison. I think Pope may be a little faster, but I think Ballard may be a better blocker.

Either way they are both huge targets and they make it very easy for a qb to throw it in the vecinty and are able to go get and are able to use their body to shield off little db's. I love the big TE's.

The size is kind of what I was comparing. They are both huge targets, and I agree that with Ballard's ability to play OL he is the better blocker, thus he will be the perfect TE for Tress's system.

Ballard had a great time on his official visit to Ohio State. Ballard will enroll in the summer if he is not selected for the "Big 33" game.

I thought the Big 33 game was being moved up to early June so the kids could play in that game, and then enroll in the summer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he can do both.

The Big 33 game will be played June 17, 2006. So hopefully Jake can come and take some classes during the summer quarters.

Last year it started June 20. Assuming they keep it the same, it would seem that he could play the Big33 game and then enroll at the beginning of the next week. This is what Boone and a few others did following the North/South game.
