I just heard that Jake got in a car accident the other night...everything is alright from what i can tell...anyone have any other information???

I would assume he was fine if their was an accident, considering he played in a high school basketball game for Springboro last night, scoring eight points.

A huge tight end who could play offensive tackle or on the defensive line in Columbus, Ballard has good hands and is a dominating blocker. He perhaps has more upside as an offensive tackle. I got to talk to JT for quite a while while he was here for Jake. JT is a great man, and never seemed to get annoyed by the incredible amount of people flowing in asking for autographs, pictures, ect...

Jake is excited about getting to tOSU and is looking for playing time this fall. He could weigh as much as 285 by the fall, but still plans to be a TE.

IMO, he still looks like he has a TE body, but has the frame to grow into a OT.

I guess it doesnt matter the TE at tOSU is a glorified tackle anyways.

Don't let that get onto the recruiting board. I'm wondering if we see Eric Winston (Miami)-like development here. Sometimes, you just outgrow a position. Either way, it appears that there are high hopes for Ballard.

He's huge and could gain 40 pounds and still look good. I bet he turns into another Barton, who some think he's the best of the o-linemen.
