The other thing about Herbstreit is the pompous manner in which he tries to portray himself. He's a fucking talking hairdo who duck quacks whatever executive management puts in their emails to he and the other talking hairdos. Yet, he presents himself as the second coming of Edward R. Murrow. Give me a break. You won't touch off-field issues unless you can take a slam at Ohio State in the process. But--ooohhhhh--you piously refuse to make some silly and meaningless prediction of the game you're calling. Because why fucking exactly?

You realize Herbstreit was a nobody as QB. If he wasn't on TV, no fans at tOSU would remember who he was. He was the next Karsatos who was a nobody before that.

The current run of OSU dominance started in 1993 where for the most part they have contended every 2-3 years for NCs sometimes multiple years in a row. That was the year after Herbstreit left.

Always amused by Buckeye fans who care what he thinks. In the grand scheme of tOSU football, he's a complete afterthought.

That’s a disservice to Karsatos! At least he could throw the rock and he and Carter made a great tandem. Plus the man got drafted, which is more than Herbstreit can say.

I think you can add Howard's injury to that list. Day should have had the balls to put a backup in. He was obviously not right.

Now if they have no faith in a backup qb that's another issue....

The backup QBs are always unprepared under Day because he never actually uses them, for the most part when they get in for garbage time during blowouts they just go through the motions to run the clock out, they never get to actually run a real offense.

I believe insiders have said as well that it's basically the same thing in practice, only QB1 gets the real run.

This is where I'm at, as well. I don't remember OSU players talking shit after beating them, but they've done plenty since ending their drought against us. And the fans, with their lying - "OSU fans spitting on our players (years ago I guess?)," "Marcus Hall spit on our fans and flipped us off!!11!," "OSU has planted their flag on other fields including Michigan's..."

Holy shit, save my blood pressure, get rid of Day and turn this trend around immediately. Ha, I know, let's wait for him to win 4 consecutive games against top notch teams... But it's torture at the moment. I could tune everything out by not logging into facebitch, but then their lies would then go uncorrected. :grr:
