Come guys, applaud them, it was a good shot.

No one outside of Columbus or Dallas will remember it happened by the end of the weekend...
If a level headed TCU fan comes on this board I will congratulate them on their Rose Bowl win, I've got nothing against TCU fans. My response to this is that because Gee said something he opened himself up to ridicule, I personally take no offense to the billboards. I just find it funny that if you listen to all of the talk you'd think the two teams have zero history.

Suck on that LSoP alumni.

I'm sure the TCU alumni remember this:

In late December of 2007, Ohio State said it had reached a deal to open the 2009 season at home against TCU. Army had recently backed out of a planned series, and the Horned Frogs, coming off an 8-5 season, were set for a one-game trip to Columbus. According to Ohio State, the game had been agreed to but the contract wasn't yet signed. And TCU had that chance with the Buckeyes.
"I'd say Ohio State really wanted it," TCU associate athletic director Jack Hesselbrock, who handles the Horned Frogs' football scheduling, said last week. "They had an opening and needed an opponent, and I think the fans would have liked it and been intrigued by it."
However, TCU backed out.

Re: TCU alumni fire back at Buckeyes with billboards

To TCU alumni

The money that you wasted on the billboards probably could have been put to much better use by any of thousands of different charitable organizations. Anyway since you decided to spend your money in Columbus on the billboards; thanks for helping stimulate the local economy.

P. S. We also have bus bench signs that you might consider advertising on too.

Don't think it helped our economy, pretty sure it just pads Clear Channel's pockets

OK, giving credit where credit is due. It's NOT TCU's fault Wisconsin couldn't play defense and forgot to dance with the gal whut brung 'em.

This is the same Wisconsin team that pretty much shoved the Buckeye defense aside when they needed to. This is the same Wisconsin coaching staff that figured out how to bottle up OSU's running game and kept Pryor from running wild. This is the same Wisconsin that shared the Big 10 championship.

TCU must have had some speed because Wisconsin's CBs played off their receivers, because they ran when they needed to, because they shut down the Wisconsin running game outside the tackles and covered the Wisconsin receivers tightly.

I'm ready to eat some crow regarding the merit of TCU and Boise State's programs. If the Big Boy's can't beat them in bowl games, then you have to admit to their ability to play at the same level.

Further it ain't their fault that Texas locked them out of the Big 12, that the SEC didn't want them, that the Big 10 did not extend an offer. They had to do the best they could with what they had and they did.

It's also the same coaching staff that references a card when going for two. Bielema just happened to not fuck up on the Buckeye game as he does in the vast majority of others. It's also a well known fact that the Badgers are a helluvalot different away from Camp Randall.

TCU won a good game. I congratulate them on doing that for the first time this year. :whoopee:

They proved what Boise proved in the past - they can get up for a "big" team for one game with a month to prepare. Neither has proven they can go through a major conference schedule and still finish 12-0 or 11-1, which was actually the point they think they're mocking now.
