Targeting/Pussification of football

*sigh*

I haven't gotten a chance to watch the video yet....but you're in Cryami territory when you take a freeze frame of a video to misconstrue what actually happened. You're lying right here. This image if after the crown of his helmet hit Lawrence. Obviously his head eventually rides up as there is something there preventing it from staying down. It's either that, or he breaks Lawrence's helmet into pieces....and then Lawrence's skull.

Come on.
Okay, you've been beating your dead horse for two weeks now.

Please cite the targeting rule and demonstrate how Wade's hit was targeting within the letter of that rule.

What actually happened is that Lawrence crouched as low as he could and Wade hit him with his facemask and his helmet up... while Young was getting mugged by 2 guys pushing on his facemask and still got a secondary hit.
Lawrence did what he thought best to protect himself, proving he wasn't a defenseless player. And Wade tackled him.
The officials on the field saw it clear as day and called nothing. The replay guy, who has a long history of making highly suspect calls, invented some shit based on Lawrence rolling around on the ground.
That's what happened.

The FRONT of his helmet hit Lawrence. His forehead. The top of his head, eg the crown, never makes contact. You're acting like he speared the guy. He didn't.

Also, did you switch accounts with MaxBuck or something?
Do you think the image that kuji posted correctly represents what happened on that play in regards to whether his head was up?

You've been arguing for two weeks that Wade's hit violated "the letter of the law" and you literally have no clue what the targeting rule says.

Again, prove your case or move on.
Well...you're wrong a couple times here.

1. I haven't posted in this thread for days before kuji's picture post. You make it seem like I've actively been harping on something since it happened, which is wrong.

2. I know what the targeting rule is, I'm just not at a computer to give your out of nowhere demand it's full attention.

3. I say out of nowhere, because this latest argument isn't about telling you all that the call was right (it clearly was)....it's about correcting a poster on something that is either unintentionally misleading or a straight up fabrication. Whether or not the call was right is secondary to the unfaithful way kuji is arguing with that picture.

I call out Michigan fans who post a picture of JT before he got the first down as "proof" that he was short. I call out Miami fans who post a picture after the interference on Gamble as "proof" of a bad call. I'm going to call out Buckeye fans who pull the same nonsense.

Yea i fabricated that image... seriously?

The LR video in lv's post has it multiple angles in full. I just threw in the screenshot as part of my commentary.
And yes, the screenshot at moment of impact does show Wade's helmet is up and his facemask made first contact.

His head was up.

End of story.

Between Dec. 30th and the post from yesterday (Jan. 11th) which you quoted, @BuckeyeNation27 made only 4 posts in this thread, all on January 3rd. That doesn't sound like beating a dead horse to me. And for those who don't remember, I was the one that asked him to refrain from posting on the topic in the game thread a little after the game ended, when we understandably pissed off Buckeye fans weren't in a state of mind to dispassionately discuss the rule and the replay decision.

I'm just pointing out that while BN27's opinion on the play may differ from that of many of us, he hasn't been beating that topic to death as frequently as it may seem. And I think his comments on the use of still shots is a separate discussion point.

Edit - he responded as I was typing this.

It has been longer than 4 hours. When does this go away? Should I call my doctor?

On topic, the rule needs changed as the top of his helmet hit first, but fuckboy QB braced for impact and got low, real low which is why the helmets hit. That is not a defensless player in my book (which means dick). His BS closing his eyes acting as if he had been knocked out is what sealed the targeting call from some dickhole nowhere near the play. Likewise, the scoop and score.

I feal if it had been against LSU or Clemson the Mothership would still be pissing about it like we are.
