Anyone been to Lollapalooza? Thinking about going to the one in Chicago this summer. Cool line ups.

Been there... done that. Good time. Bring a LOT of water. First and last time for me was 2005.

Primarily went to see the Pixies play. Had an awesome place to stand. Very close to the stage. I've seen them play before and since but really enjoyed seeing them that day. Also saw the Killers, OK GO, Liz Phair, Weez, Dino Jr. and Death Cab among others.

Anyone in the Chicagoland / Milwaukee area and a fan of Husker Du / Sugar Bob Mould should check out the Milwaukee Summerfest. 7/3 Bob is playing Copper Blue (Sugar '92) front to back. Should be a great time, a friend of mine is his bass player these days. Superchunk fans: John Wurster is playing drums.

Day after I'm heading across the pond on a ferry (with my car) to drive up to our house in the northern lower peninsula for a week of golf.

Can't wait.

Just got back from seeing 3 Doors Down and ZZ Top at Universal (I love my Annual Pass), and what a show! 3 Doors was pretty good, but man did ZZ Top put on one hell of a show! I was 3 people from the front so I also got some amazing pictures. Those three may be getting old, but man can they still rock (and with fuzzy guitars, too)!

they were playing after the Rays games today in Tamps but I couldn't make. I've seen ZZ Top several times and they were amazing everytime. One of my top 5 bands of all time. They just released a couple new songs on an EP (Texicali). No body plays guitar like Billy Gibbons... one of the greats.

Not all of their songs are for me but solid

Trying to decide if I want to go see Al Green tomorrow night. Its basically a free concert for me, and I'll probably be at Universal anyway tomorrow. Its mainly deciding if I want to line up early and see the whole show from a good spot, or just stand around towards the back of the crowd until Let's Stay Together gets played.
