So TDD bought tickets for us to see Cage the Elephant and Stone Temple Pilots last night. Both of us were much more interested in seeing Cage the Elephant (I joked about leaving after their set). Truth be told they were average at best but Scott Weiland and STP were absolutely awesome. It had been about 15 years since I had seen them in concert and they still bring a ton of energy.

Picked up tickets for Band of Horses in October. Still thinking about seeing Deftones in September.

I thought so...I just expected a little more...they just seemed like the type of band that would have put on a better live show. Definitely worth seeing once but I don't know that I would ever go see them again.

Here's a good clip of STP from last night:

Just bought tickets for Portugal. The Man in May. Tempted to buy tickets to see Explosions in the Sky in April but we play Penn State earlier that day so it might not be a good idea, despite the fact I've been wanting to see them live for years. Anyone ever see a show at Outland Live?

Excited for ZZ Top kicking off the Universal Summer Concert Series. Hopefully it's a long summer of great acts. Another appearance by Chicago would definitely make it memorable. I may still go see Earth Wind & Fire and Boston at Hard Rock Live this summer as well.
