Welcome to BP. I think you'll find that our reputation as a fanbase is pretty exaggerated. We're welcoming as long as you have a good head on your shoulders, which you appear to have. :tongue2:
I'm looking forward to this matchup, assuming it happens. I have some questions about our pass defense. I'm a little more critical of this year's defense than most are. Seems like we get beat more than we should, but we just haven't paid for it yet. I hope we never do. We have some studs at all positions, except safety. Players to watch on D - Cameron Heyward, John Simon, Ross Homan, Chimdi Chekwa. We have playmakers at all positions, but those are the big names.
Our offense is really good when it's clicking on all cylinders. We have a stable of backs, but Boom Herron has been taking the majority of the carries lately. And he's responded well to the additional workload, topping 175 yards a couple times and scoring some big TDs. TP is TP. He'll make some unbelievable plays, but he still has some work to do. When he's on, he's ridiculous. It's been rumored that he's playing through an injury, so the break until the bowl game should be enough to get him healthy. Our o-line has its ups and downs, but it has been better lately. Mike Adams graded out a winning performance against Iowa's beastly DE Clayborne. Key players on offense - TP, Boom Herron, Dane Sanzenbacher. The o-line is the key, like always.
Our special teams started the year about as bad as I've ever seen a team's special teams start. They've been better lately.
That's my quick summary of our team. I don't know anything about Arkansas other than Ryan Mallet is an ex-Wolverine and he needs to be punished.
