I'm aware that my avatar is of a 240lb sexy beast of a man, in a Browns uniform that curls more weight then Jesus himself... and that is all
The reply to this post that made you want to harm your fellow Buckeys is a comment on your lack of a comma. It should read, "...beast of a man, in a Browns uniform, that curls..." The way you have it states that the uniform is what is curling.

This message brought to you by the Arkansas Board of Education.

This part intrigues me. What do hog fans have against MSU? Are you all Athenians?

Mostly the way they whine about the unfairness of the BCS structure; how they feel that they're being shortchanged as the odd team out because of the Big Ten tie-breakers. They squawk like an Alabama booster slapped with an infraction allegation, or a Michigan fan expected to cheer rather than just jiggle their annoying darn keys at you.

I've scanned a couple of MSU boards, and many of them are also complaining about being passed by a two loss team. Never mind it's a two loss team with 4x as many victories over current BCS Top 25 teams as they have had all season. While I like Dantonio, and think he's going to do wonderful things for MSU in the near and mid term future, I hope he leaves East Lansing soon.

Solid post with good reasoning (You might have a future in these here parts :wink2:).

Just curious about your perspective on the whole SEC thing and also I know your HC gets a lot of shit for his sudden departure from the falcons. I have no qualms with UARK going after a proven coach to squeegee the nutt job. I'm still unsure why a HC would leave one SEC team for another unless it was a dream job. I'm really just curious on the southern aspect of football.

Figured I would go ahead and say hi now before the less sophisticated Razorback fans show up and ruin the positive vibes. I'm sure it won't be long until word reaches the Ft. Smith and Garland County areas that the Hogs may actually play in the Sugar Bowl against The Ohio State University.

I hope Allbarn can take care of business against USCe as we've been waiting a long time for a BCS berth.

I can't speak for everyone, nor do I know Bobby P's true intentions, but from what I've heard he always wanted to Coach in the SEC. Now he is hear, taking our program to a place it hasn't been in decades, and it would cost a lot of money for him to head somewhere else in the SEC. I think he is here to stay and do good things.

You'll have to clarify on what is encompassed by the 'whole SEC thing'; as for Petrino, yeah, he gets a lot of guff-- but I do understand where it comes from; simply in terms of dollars, fan interest, and media attention, the NFL is the Holy Grail of American sports, and when a coach spurns a place at that altar for what is invariably viewed as a lesser arena, they are going to draw criticism.

Is it fair? No. Is it accurate? Not necessarily. I also remember the short term pillorying of Nick Saban, when he did the same to the Dolphins. Time and winning are the only ways to make people put that in the past-- and the more Petrino wins and stays at Arkansas, the quieter those voices are getting.

As far as leaving one SEC job for another, a lot of things come into play. To be sure that I'm addressing the right point, are you asking why Nutt would go to Ole Miss?

As far as college football aspects go, I've been privileged to see a few of them. I've been to the Big House and to a Backyard Brawl (500,000 Michiganers shaking their keys wouldn't be as loud as the concession stands at the BYB)-- haven't been up to the Horseshoe yet. Football in the South is a completely different creature; the role it plays in culture is hard to understate.
