It helps as the team is accustomed to playing difficult games in difficult situations. They are also not going to get intimidated by playing great teams at the end of the season, such as their bowl game. This won't be a problem for either Arkansas or Ohio St.
On the flip side, playing a difficult schedule can also lead to a team suffering more injuries and being more physically and emotionally drained by the end of the season. Again, I don't see either of these teams suffering from this after the long layoff, but these are legitimate factors to consider.

I realize OSU has more experience in BCS bowls, but the Hogs have more experience this season with ranked teams.
Were you not using the "experience this season with ranked teams" as a positive for your Razorbacks?
