Seriously are people really so trigger-happy to be offended by this? H Christ it isn't like he was saying Tressel doesn't graduate players, or recruits criminals, or cheats. If he said something to take a shot at the Clarett situation, I could see people getting POed, but it seems to me too many people are searching for ways to be offended.

Yes, people ARE trigger-happy to be offended. See my tagline...that I've had for about a year now. It's pathetic.

College football fans on every board I've visited seem to think that they're always getting the shaft and everyone else is an ass. It's really tiring.

This one had to be on the walls of the Kentucky locker room this week:

Spurrier "We thought we did something big when we beat Clemson. Then Kentucky beat them too."

I'm looking to find the text of what he said, but essentially he said that if Vandy had Ohio State's schedule, they would be #1 and unbeaten as well.

I seriously doubt Vandy would beat Michigan State or Washington, but they did beat South Carolina, so that's something

So not only does his team choke and lose to a Vanderbilt team with about half the talent as his as well as eliminate themselves from the BCS championship picture, he completely shifts the attention from his teams' lackluster performance to his comments.

Oh well, let them hate....:oh:

They guy just doesn't have a QB or much offensive talent to go along with it. If Spurrier had MSU or Washington's QB's, then you'd have to watch out...

True, but you'd think the team that took care of Kentucky relatively easily would take care of Vandy in the same manner.....

In a nutshell:

"Vandy lost to 3 top 25 SEC teams, if they played in some other conference they'd probably be 6-0 and up there with Ohio State...."

Stevie Superior is the epitome of the myopic and classless nature of the SEC and the bulk of their fans imo. He's the poster boy for southern football and its fans.

Fundamentally however, its good to know that they(SEC cocksuckers) have us on their minds so much that its the first thing out of his mouth after his team just lost a critical conference game.

I couldn't agree more!

I'm thinking, "inferiority complex".

Difference between Tressel and Spurrier: class.
You won't ever hear Jim Tressel say anything remotely like what Spurrier said.

Why is Spurrier always referencing Ohio State? Jealousy?

I think so.

It must be.

I went to foxsports.com this morning to read about the weekend's activities regarding CFB. I didn't know that Tebow hurt his shoulder in the game against UK. So, I read the entire story and headed down to the comments page. Within the first five or so posts, the comments were already about tOSU!!!! I couldn't believe it. There must be an inferiority complex running amuk down in SEC land. They just can't get their minds off of tOSU. I was laughing my butt off.

It might do these Tools well to concern themselves with their games in their own conference BEFORE trying to determine where tOSU stands in the national scheme of things. I swear it almost seems like Florida and other SEC teams have lost, because they concentrate more on tOSU through out the year than they do their own games. Or, at least, that's the presentation that their fans create.

As soon as I posted my comments above, I wanted to put a disclaimer on there that my thoughts are regarding the majority of SEC fans EXCEPT FOR GATORUBET. I mean that sincerely. I enjoy your posts, and your overall interaction.

It's a slow Monday, and I'm gonna have to ask: what does 0-8 mean?
