Steelers(-5.5) at Browns

Just brutal. Of all the headscratchers he's pulled over the past four seasons, that FG jumps to the front of the line. You're down 7, at home, against your biggest rival with 3:00 to go, and you kick a FG? :smash:

On the bright side, the DL looked solid today.

That was a needed W for the Steelers. Frankly, to be honest, a large part of that win can be attributed to the terrible clock management and decision making of Romeo Crennel. Mike Tomlin may make some unusual personnel choices, but I can safely say that he will never make those kinds of mistakes.

And, in reality, the #1 thing holding back the Browns right now is the head coach. Their offense is loaded (If not banged up). Their defense is much improved. Their coaching is terrible. I'm glad that Romeo Crennel is still the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, no offense.

I don't know how in the hell Browns' fans can watch this stupid shit, year after year, without having their heads explode.

I figure it's like some form of downer for them, see most are used to a win on Saturday with the Bucks, so they have that high from winning, in order to balance that out, Ohio has two professional teams to bring down any excitement you may have starting a new week.

:slappy: It's like the yin and the yang.

To not come away with points in the first half was bad

but the chance is RIGHT THERE at the end of the game to get a first. There was a very very very slim chance that the Browns were going to get the ball back.

The FG accomplished nothing.

H Christ never mind the 2nd week in a row of making sure Dawson gets those 3 fantasy points...that was officially the worst use of 3 timouts in the history of football at the end of the 2nd half. I mean, if any other coaching staff had sat down, gameplanned, and plotted and schemed "We're going to make the worst possible use of our timeouts" they couldn't have touched that. Calling one with 2:42 to go with a 40 second playclock...that's the shit that keeps dreams alive right there.

Just stomp my fucking puppy next time Romeo...or more aptly, look like you're going to stomp it, call timeout, and send in Dawson to just lightly kick it.

There clock usage at the end of the first was just as bad, not under the same microscope though.

Not calling a timeout with 25 seconds on 3rd and 1, and instead having Derrick sneak the ball for a first, left us with 8 seconds.

Brilliant, just enough time to throw a pass and then kick a field a goal assuming we haven't messed up the one play we saved.....which we did.

Not to mention, the coaching staff was unprepared on the 10 second run off to have a play on the field. I'm convinced they thought the clock would be dead, just a 10 second burn and then the gameclock starts on the snap. They wasted about 10 seconds getting that play off.

Not clock management, but how does an NFL coaching staff not know you need at least 3 players on each side of the kicker?

Just basic stuff......it's unreal this guy gets paid millions. I doubt he even understands why the crowd was booing after Dawson nailed the field goal to make it a 10-6 game.

It's time. If the Browns don't make the playoffs it's time for a new coach. I think Savage has the right idea on personnel, but the lack of preparation and time management from the top down killed them tonight and has killed them in the past.

And I STILL hate the 3-4.

The big 3 (the Buckeyes, The Browns and the Bengals) managed to score ONE fucking Touchdown this weekend :smash:

At least they didn't get jobbed like the Chargers, "our Replay equipment isn't working, so the shitty call stands" then on the last drive "I blew my whistle, sucks to be you."

The only team of the 3 in the game were the Browns and they are straddled with the absolute worst clock-management coaching staff in the world.....

The Bucks got rocked and well, the Bengals were the Bengals today.

I wouldn't like it, but dammit I'd like to have the Browns score more than 20 points at the moment. And I'd certainly take being screwed by the refs over being screwed by your own coaching staff.

I hope the refs at least bought Norv dinner first because that was just brutal.

I thought that call and then the proceeding TD by Royal was going to be the difference in my team losing in fantasy football this week. But, alas, Derek Anderson proves to be a turd and puts up 2 points for my opponent, so the worries are gone.
