He came up with a brilliant idea, but his execution was always lacking. I expect when you turn it over to the perfect filmmaker for a project like this like JJ Abrams good things will happen. Kind of like when Marvel chose Joss Whedon for the Avengers. I can't wait to see this movie.

Harrison Ford was not there to carry George's hideous dialogue in the prequels. Hayden isn't a terrible actor when you get him away from George

Honestly, the Kylo-ren character is who anikan skywalker should have been in the original 3. well done and well developed, unlike that butchery in the prequels.

Perhaps we can set Christmas as the date to which we keep this thread spoiler free. After December 25, we can discuss all aspects of the movie. Those who haven't seen it yet, will at least have been warned.

I've enjoyed several of Hayden's movies that were not Star Wars. Most recently American Heist.

Great movie- and pissed me off even more that the prequels were as bad as they were...
A bit derivitive of the original, but I mean that as a compliment. I'll see it again in a heartbeat... and will do so probably two more times this weekend (after sitting through all seven yesterday).
The only thing that really surprised me was that I couldn't believe that they decided to totally shave Chewbacca (how do you do the spoiler tags?)

Like it. Might want to bump it to New Years. Some places could still be nuts but as long as everyone makes good use of the spoiler tag Christmas would be ok

Watched it this morning with my wife. 3D with the moving seats.
Pretty cool experience. Really enjoyed the movie. Glad that JJ's at the helm.
