Star Wars (May the Force be with you)

 literally the only 2 episodes that weren’t a power rangers dumpster fire were all Mando.

That said, I really like Ming Na, and she looks like that at 59? Daayyyuuummmm
Yup her character was great. I was waiting the whole season for her to be like you are Boba f'n Fett what the hell is wrong with you. Lets kill all these people.

Is anyone watching...or caring...about this season of the Mandalorian? I really liked season 1, and most of season 2...but these six episodes have been a horse abortion. The writers don't seem to have any idea where they want any characters to go, and the result has been a "monster of the week" format that has added way too much filler and not enough actual plot. The acting has been more wooden and the effects haven't been as good either. I really like Katie S as Bo, and The Armorer has some depth, but after that, it falls off quickly. Grogu is just a circus animal this season. And Djin is now basically Thor from the Avengers (start out as a focus, end up as a mascot). I don't know, I think it's gone way downhill, and no longer focuses on what made it interesting in the first place.

I think in the third episode, my daughter was like, "Can we blow some stuff up already?"

But, yeah, its gone from the Wild Wild West* to Scooby Doo. Like I get you're going to go around solving mysteries and shit, but don't forget to have a couple fight scenes and some spaceship wrecks along the way. No, we don't want Don Knotts or the Harlem Globetrotters or Mama Cass.

*And see I figured Boba Fett was going to be Gunsmoke.

while I have not been critical of season 3 so far I can certainly understand those who have been. for me I am enjoying mostly the background that is leading up to the formation of the First Order....something the true horse abortion media Sequel Trilogy failed to touch on...like ever. At least in the OT there were references to The Clone Wars and the Old Republic and the Jedi and all that...the First Order was just there and never was a glimpse given as to HOW. so from that point, I'm enjoying season 3 so far. Book of BF was an unmitigated disaster except for the Mando episodes. however, its failing was Grogu not staying with Luke. it was the 'out' the show needed to move forward without the albatross around the neck that is a small child.
I am also enjoying the nods and continuity of things from The Clone Wars and Rebels TV shows and i'm relatively certain we will get to Sabine Wren at some point in season 3. Looking forward to that. she hot.

Looks like you’ll get Sabine, as well as Hera and Chopper, in the Ahsoka series along with…Grand Admiral Thrawn. Could be absolutely amazing if they don’t fuck it up

I have cared much more about Katie Sackoff's character this season than I have anything else going on

This is my beef with Season 3. I'm not overly negative about the season, but I want more stuff about Mandalore and what happened to nuke the planet. I really don't want to have to go back and watch Rebels or Clone wars to do that. Give me some backstory - not 45 minutes of Lizzo's big fat ass playing queen or whatever (spoilers I guess).

All the complaining in this thread and then Mando gives us the best episode of the season on Wednesday of this week.

Ahh well. At least we should have a strong close to the season.
It was a good episode last night. I wonder after watching it, though, if the Pedro Pascal rumors are correct. Will find out more next week I assume.

Yeah, this. The most interesting moments to me this season are the small ones like each person holding the hammer while speaking, or the fact they adopt foundlings of any species. Mandalorian history, customs, traditions. Tell me what a foundling does to earn his helmet…not why some schmuck on a useless plant is a separatist.
