Good deal. My gamertag is RapidPup3344838 (i think, not sure on the #'s). My name was the same as here for 8 years, BIATCHabutuka, but two days after we whipped Michigan, I got reported for the name and Xbox made me RapidPup. It is funny, but now I see all kinds of MS names where they censored someone. I play with SilentPup, SaltyPup, all kinds of adjective + Pup + #'s. You see that logic a lot once you notice it.


We will have to play some night.

It is very very tough at first, almost like a jogging simulator, you spawn, you run to the action, you get shot, you spawn again, you run. . . . .


Once you get weapons though it is much simpler. My nephew is only 7 and can roll people.



Best tip for new players in the regular multiplayer modes (not the fighter squadron mode, but all others), when you don't have cards, before spawning where you get to pick to spawn normally or spawn on your partner, go down to hands and then over to partners hand if they have good or interesting cards to use. You will get some much better weapons to play with at first that way. Not always, it depends on your partner, but when you got no cards, partner's hand is a must.


Best tip for people who want to play a bunch but not fuck up their hands. You need to hold the click on the left stick to run by default. If you go to settings though you can click and then use the stick normally and be running and just click it again to stop running. Will save you some thumb pain for sure.

Best tip for old dudes like myself who no longer can aim like they used to, lower your controller sensitivity. I am at 13%, default was 25%. I can aim OK now.

Best tip for a new game owner, make sure you have the Battle of Jakku free DLC installed. That board and the free game mode Turning Point are fantastic.


I will probably be playing again tonight sometime after 11pm. Who am I kidding, I will be playing at 11pm, I got nothing going on tonight.

Finally bought this Friday but the girlfriend'sson and my daughter have been playing pretty much nonstop lol

Just got my ass whipped in fighter squadron. Ended up being 3 on 9 with me being the 3 with two other TIE fighters. Not cool. I did get one human kill exactly, I shot the Falcon the fuck out of the sky with the Slave before they got me. I love attacking those hero ships. I shoot one down probably every other game or so.

Got to play a little again tonight with Josh. I will probably be on here after I get the big screen back. Say 11:30 or 12 if anyone is interested.

He finished first every game we played, seems to be a pattern. I sucked ass one game and then did OK after that. I was out of Scan Pulses so I was having a hard time finding targets before they would shoot me.

We played a fairly strong team and were a little undermanned. Probably just needed more beard on our team I am guessing.



Was reading that there is a patch to the game coming tonight.

Here are the patch notes. I will have to mix up my game as all my tricks are getting nerfed it seems.

I am not a sniper at all. I run to the action and kill someone and myself nearly every man. Often I get two or three, but not often I live. I am the action. May have to try sniping here some night soon.

Other game news, they are porting Turning Point to the other big maps. Death Star map will be in the 3rd DLC. Cloud City is the 2nd DLC. 1st DLC is Sullust / Tattoine again. Final DLC is to be determined but is timed near the release of the Rogue One movie, so maybe focused on that.

Awesome patches, though that DL 44 better overheat fast if used semi auto. It's way too cheap. It should be like the t21b. EE-33 was my gun with explosive rounds but I'm OK nerfing that a bit. Plasma cannon is my main death distributor.

I just started trying the se-14c. It's absurd with explosive rounds. Even without it I think I'm going to learn to use it for short range assault to finish off the final section on turning point.

I don't switch guns enough. I used to.

I fell in pattern with the EE3 and then the Scan Pulse and Jumpcasting thing. Tried playing a couple of games before you were on with other cards today. I typically love grenades so I went with the thermal detonator, couldn't do much with it, but part of that was the situations I was in. I was on Turning Point and my Rebel team couldn't even approach the first front line. We were getting sniped like crazy. If I did get past the snipers, I had no back up due to them being sniped and then had to take on 3-6 myself at the control point. Frustrating when you don't have your go to kill moves on you.

On the plasma cannon, I need to learn more about it. I know it is a charge up weapon like the bowcaster which is funky at first. The precision aim and the charge up time has scared me away from it so far. Other than having a vehicle or a good turret, most of the kill leaders seem to use the plasma cannon from what I have noticed. Just worried about it and my aggressive style of play, seems like a more laid back gun.

Fairly certain that the bowcaster is going to be useless going forward. If I can't one shot kill a guy, what is the point of locking up 2 cards with it and the jump pack.


Been thinking about going with the shotgun / Jawa blaster and using that as my jump caster and then having a grenade to boot. I'd be hosed at anything but short range though. I have used the Focus Fire and the shotgun with success at medium range I guess. Maybe the pulse cannon or cylcer rifle instead of the grenade if I try this for ranged attacks.

Also noticed I have been getting two shot killed by the T21/T21B heavy blaster at fairly close range. Almost like Han Solo's DL44. Now that I am aiming better I have been thinking of going with that gun as my close quarters 2 shot (but don't miss since it is slow) and sniper rifle.

I do like the variety of weapons and star cards. Lots of possibilities. Some of the most fun I have had has been with smoke grenades. Smoke + Scan Pulse = Death.


Can't believe they didn't do anything with the A wings in Fighter Squadron.

That must have been from either before or after we joined up, I recognize some of the names from earlier. That EUGENESON was on my case hard for quite some time.


Surprised you play in 1st person. I always heard 3rd was easier so went with that.

I don't hang back like that much, I always go to the point and defend. With my scan pulse, I see them coming and can hunt them down before they know whats up usually. It is a great move to hang back like that, just a different strategy.

I always clear that ship area before moving up (assuming I don't get the air ship to fly). I hate having guys in my back line. If there are, my team almost always loses. Maybe a sign that I should do that myself I guess.


Very excited for more Turning Point maps. Best mode in the game.


I could write a book on Turning Point / Jakku now.


One spot I have been loving as the Empire defending that last point, is way out front of the point on the defending left side behind the depression in the ground up against that wall of debris. Rough sentence, but I am sure you know what I am talking about having played it.

You can pick off every attacker of the control point other than people pushing the back defending right near that steel structure I like to stand in. Nobody sees you either. They just run by and you can calmly pick them off at semi close range. Once you kill a good player, he sees where you are and will likely come hunt you down next life. With my scan pulse I almost give a fuck if they are coming. I see them before they see me, or at least I have till they nerf it tonight.

The pulse cannon is definitely a passive weapon. I'm a pretty good shot in fps games and that thing is almost impossible to use when advancing with any kind of speed.

I'll have to try sticking with you more as very few folks use the scan pulse. This might be a necessity if the ee3 becomes weaker and I learn to use the pistols.

One thing I want fixed is the walking speed when charging the bow or pulse cannon. You go into a slow walk like you do when you are aiming, but I am not aiming. I am just holding the trigger in. That shouldn't slow my movement at all. Frustrating when you need to build a charge up in close quarters and can't move. Now you can't jump up and buy time either with the bow and rely on the splash.


They nerfed that scan pulse big time.

What would show people for 7 seconds is now 2. Still effective in control zones.

I tried out the bowcaster. I couldn't one shot people with it. May be time to move on there.


I also tried some first person. I got into a camping spot (in the front of the final defending zone on Turning Point, up against that wall of crap behind the depression in the ground). Much easier to shoot as a camper in first. So now if camping, I go first to help with aim and not shooting the walls and crap in front of me. When moving around I go with 3rd person. Seemed to help a bunch, but it was just the one game.

I tried the personal shield today. Lots of fun. I play aggressive so I am always in the control point or on the way there. Today I would lead my team in and pop open that bubble shield. Now I can't shoot and only melee (unless I bring a grenade) but they can't shoot me either. I run right at them and they all panic, but have no grenades and I got my jump pack if they do. As I distracted them, my team mopped them up and I got a two pack of kills melee style. Very satisfying. Melee isn't perfect, but much better.


Overall the patch was good. I was worried that I would suck again with out all my moves, but it seems that those moves were mere crutches that got me along until I could fight cheese with cheese. I don't die as much generally and can take my time more. Good patch.

Probably be playing again after the Cavs.

Haven't played since Saturday.

Played damn near all day long with my nephew over the net. It was fun.

He is only 7 so I try and cover him more than anything, not that he can't play (other than Fighter Squadron, he sucks at that).

I left for a bit to grab some lunch and my brother texted me saying Jack has been looking all over and can't find me. Same thing when I stepped out later to hit the pharmacy.

Couldn't let the kid down.


My one thumb actually hurt at the end of it. I bet we played a solid 6 - 8 hours together over the course of the day.

Probably be on here after midnight for an hour or so if anyone is interested.
