Stanley Cup Final: Detroit vs. Pittsburgh

I thought both the tripping penalty and the interference call just seconds later were bad...that's all.

I agreed with the trip and Drake knew it the moment it happened...

And the interference call wouldn't have happened if Ryan Malone hadn't gotten his stick up into Osgood.

I thought he had more of a 'give me a break' look after it happened, but you're right, I guess he didn't complain much.

On the interference...Malone came charging in hard and stopped, Osgood approached him and then got knocked off balance. The ref only looked over in time to see Osgood falling.

None of this takes away from what the Red Wings are doing. They are looking like a buzzsaw that won't be stopped right now and that goal was one of the best this season.

I do want to see this series go 7 though, as a fan.

You must have seen a different play than I did. Stuart chipped Malone who then stopped in the crease. He then essentially threw a half-check at Osgood's right side which knocked him off-balance. It was less than subtle.

Agree.

You realize that the teams that gave Detroit the most trouble this year play in the Central right? Columbus Chicago and Nashville.

And now we have Pittsburgh getting cheap....more surprisingly Olcyzk is calling them out for it too....

Pittsburgh isn't out of it, but they have to get more shots from Malkin's line (they had 0 tonight).....

Detroit's 2nd period was pretty bad for them, but Pittsburgh still didnt' get a lot going for them offensively.

I personally think Malkin is out of gas, but we'll see what happens in Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh does have a goalie who is playing pretty well despite not getting much help around him. If Pittsburgh could get some offense going this series could get very interesting.
