agreed. Unless you're on the power play, playoff games are won by ugly goals.

well I was proven wrong by my pens, but never been so happy to be so wrong! A lot of heart shown by pittsburgh there. I thought overall they got out played, but Fluery stood on his head and gave them a chance to win. Watch out now though, with pittsburgh coming back home I expect this series to go back to Detroit with it all tied 3-3 come saturday!

Also I to the wings fan... Yes I know its for the Playoff MVP and I still say Lindstrom or Osgood. No two way foreward in this leauge will ever be fully responsible for shutting down a specific player, because if the goalie doesn't stop their chances then it really doesn't matter who good Zetterberg is. I'd have no problem with Zetterberg winning the award but I think he's been pretty invisible offensively, and thats where Detroit needs him the most. They have enough Defense to stop the pens without him he needs to start playing more aggresively offensively IMO.

I'm glad I went on to bed.
What I said could be a possibility is stronger now. That being the tying goal that late in the game and now the win by Pburg, and the lentgh of the game could be the set up for the pens to win the whole thing. The pens now know how to win very tough games.
I still like the wings to win , mainly because I have a lot of vbucks on them, but the possibility is a lot stronger for the Pens win.
IMO last night's game took a lot of of the Wings.

Man I am tired this morning. Great game. The Wings dominated the OT's and still lost. I think they are going to be on a mission in the Berg. I really do not care who wins or looses, just want to see good end to end action.

Constantly amazed how much better the passing is in the finals as opposed to the regular season. I know they all skate harder, but the passing is pin point.

I really like the Pens, but Detroit is the better team by a fair margin. They control the puck in the offensive zone and it almost looks like a man up sometimes.

Fleurry (sp?) was great. We all know what happens when you have a hot goalie, it can win a series for you. Ozzie was good also, but Pitts has a great chance to win if he keeps playing like he did last night.

I am just glad that we have a game 6!

I don't understand why hockey isn't more popular. And it's not because the games can last for hours.. baseball is still popular and it's not even close to being as intense and exciting.

Hopefully game 6 is at least half as good as game 5. I think we'd all be happy with that. It would still be one hell of a game. Pens need to get this back to Detroit and try to make some history. :biggrin:

because people don't understand it right away and instead of feeling stupid while watching it, they mock it. it's the same thing with soccer.....although hockey is way more exciting to watch.
