Hear that? Echoes...

We still suck...We still suck...We still suck...We still suck

Not if you listen to the NBC announcers. "Teo is all over the field... another tackle, that's at least 19." No mention of the fact that no one else got close enough to tackle the runner/receiver. "Crist has stood in there all day..." Ignoring the fact that the line was so weak." And then, with the game totally gone south, they spent about 3 minutes of air time harping on the fact that Stanford had a tackle wearing a 41 jersey as if that somehow violated all the rules of football etiquette.

they're running game looked terrible yesterday as did their entire offensive line. we knew what we were going to get out of the defense, but i thought that a brian kelly offense would do better. looks like my prediction of 7-5 may have been a little much.

it's a tough call. i think it will be a good game no matter who wins. one thing that you have to remember is that stanford is 3-0 while pummeling sacremento state, ucla and wake forest. they haven't been tested at all. also, the irish play better at home and brian kelly really doesn't want to lose three games in a row. it will be interesting to see how this one plays out.
I guess he didn't want to lose three games in a row but he certainly did. Maybe he misses drinking in the Ohio River water. Better luck next week.

Horrible game, it wasn't even competitive. The offensive line had looked okay through the first 3 games, but from what I could see in the stands they were getting dominated. The offense had problems with the blitz at times, and they weren't moving the line on running plays. The defense is what it is, there wasn't any surprises there. They had even fewer stops than usual, Stanford didn't have to punt until the 3rd quarter I think. It's surprising the score wasn't more lopsided going into the half. The wheels really fell off in the 2nd half. After an exciting Michigan State and Michigan game, this one wasn't even competitive to keep it interesting. Congrats to Stanford, they dominated the line on both sides of the ball and shut down our offense almost completely.
