Spring Football - 2005 (mega-merge)

The seniors are split up into two teams. They then hold a draft, position by position. Sometimes the coaches will move guys around to even the positions up after the draft.

The game itself is regulation rules. The only real difference is that sometimes they make the QB's unhittable. Also I think they've used a running clock in the 2nd half lately.

Oh no doubt..... I actually kinda wanted to see AJ Hawk take a serious look at the NFL because a class act like that would be horrible if he got injured.

What Excites me is that they're going to use Ginn like Bush from what it sounds with tailback and motion into the reciever slot..... sounds much like USC.

All college kids that will play in the pros have ins. so they will still be rich if they get hurt and can no longer play.

I wasn't talking about conservative in his style of play rather in his restraint when speaking to the media. He has to like what he sees but can't convey his true feelings.

I do disagree with you in that he has been letting his athletes play THEIR game. That might have been the case at YSU but definitely not at the OSU. I do think it will happen this year. You will see what I mean.

Youbouty is great, Ginn is justed gifted. He was taking handoffs from the TB spot and beating AJ and Bobby to the corner. I do not care what anyone says, that is fast.

No doubt he is helping the D prepare for VY. IMO, Young better be able to beat us through the air or they have no chance.

RB is not as much of a worry as most think. Haw is bigger than I expected and is very fast. Pittman is working his butt off. If Haw was having trouble with the blocking aspect of his position, it looks as if he has worked through that fine. I feel a lot better about RB.

One more thing concerning TGII and staying. It is apparent that a degree means more than the NFL in the Ginn household. I guess we will see.

Jersey Scrimmage?

I remember last year it was on April 17, and at least partially open to the public. What's the story this year? Will it be this coming Saturday, the 16th? Will it be open to the public, and lastly is anyone from BP going? The players seem to always say that this game is more important for position battles than the Spring Game. I'd like to take a peek at what our first team offense and defense will look like for '05!

Yes, the S & G game is being held on Aril 23rd (Sat.) at 1:30 and is open to the public for $5. Tickets have been sale for about a month and can be bought on HangOnSloopy.com. Yes, BP is holding tailgating booth outside the stadium and you will be bale to pick up sum sweet ass BP shirts if you ordered them. Looks like the turnout is gonna be pretty big too.

He's not asking about the S&G game. He's asking about the Jersey Scrimmage that decides which team wears the home jerseys for the S&G game.

I know in the past Ohio State has had the kick scrimmage and the jersey scrimmage both open to the public as well as the spring game. As I recall the Jersey scrimmage has usually been the saturday before the spring game and the kick scrimmage was a few days before the jersey scrimmage. I have no clue about the dates or times or anything this year.

thanks GinnandJuice! Great posts and if you can keep us up dated!

I'm very excited about our team next year!! and the fact that Ginn is taking handoffs is pretty exciting! Not to mention our defense probably thinking Vince is slow by the time we get to him! haha (I know Vince is very fast also)

GO BUCKS!
