Spring Football - 2005 (mega-merge)

WOOOOO.

I checked out the CSTV website and it said that for my area I needed DirectTV.

Anyway, I found it on channel 26 last night on Time Warner cable and am pumped! I can't wait for the game and I can't believe I have the channel. . .I watched the Oklahoma spring game last night to get in the mood.

The Oklahoma spring game was close to the vest, which is understandable, but it was so bad that almost nothing happened. I turned it off at 7-0 and the game almost over. There were barely any first downs. Also, even though the defense knew the plays, the offensive line really should have performed better than they did. It is early and the whole team really showed how much further they have to go.

I hope our spring game shows more veteran play and reaction. I can't wait. . .

I remember being worried about special teams last season, as there were a few punts/field goals blocked in the spring game. But, as it turns out, special teams rocked, again. Thats awesome to hear that the Bucks may not miss Nuge as much as we suspected. Huston seems to be filling Nuge's shoes about as well as anyone could ask.

CSTV alternative for locals.

I checked the channel guide for Time Warner in Dayton last night and it showed the Spring Game being covered live on ONN for Sat [including a pre-game show.

:groove: :groove: :groove:

However, with the weather situation I am not sure it will be much to watch...

For anyone coming out of town, here is a helpful PDF:
2005 Spring Game Parking Map

The BP tailgater will be directly above the key (which is in the bottom right), right above the word OSU.
There is a high resolution B&W PDF map (2 pages, with all the numeric code keys, sorted alphabetically on facility number). Seen here.

This one's much better for old eyes like mine.

Unfortunately ONN is not a normal channel on TimeWarner NE.
You have got to be kidding me. I normally don't watch the channel but they have great Buckeye coverage. Being in Dayton, I get limited coverage because our additional channels are Cincy based and you know how they love the Buckeyes down there.... :roll2:

So do you have to pay for CSTV on TimeWarner?

I am not overly concerned about the blocks in this scrimmage, I would venture to say some of the protection was probably done by 2nd and 3rd teamers at certain points.

The most important thing is that we possibly found somone to replace Nuge, all he has to be is consistent and we will be fine. For some reason I am not that concerned about the punting. Probably because every year we find someone else to fill the role and have success.

Its nice to hear that Huston had a good day, I remember him struggling as a freshman.

So far how many folks are coming to the tailgate? I dont know how 3 or 4 tents are gonna be effective with a 100+ people..
From what I have heard the rain won't start until after the game. Then again meteorologists have known to be wrong more often than not. 3-4 tents are better than none. I might be able to bring 2 maybe a third if my buddy doesn't use his this weekend.

ESPN Experts Spring Football Poll

ESPN and experts......somehow that doesn't really fit...:roll2:

Now that spring football is winding down, it's time to look at the Top 10.

Of course, this can all change as we get closer to the opening of fall workouts, but here's our experts' rankings as of now.

One thing that I noticed was the disparity of where OSU is ranked on these four so called "experts". It doesn't suprise me at all that Mark May doesn't have us listed in the top ten.....Iowa is ranked 4th on his list, somehow I don't think that is going to happen since they play us at the horseshoe this year.
