Spring Football - 2005 (mega-merge)

My money is on Gray with the provision that there will be no limitations on Troy. IF Troy is allowed to run then the game will be a walk. IF not I'll bank on AJ and the defense to shut down Scarlets running game and field position by Trepasso.

This game will definitley be great. Guys like Dukes, Lyons, Freeman, Terry, Gonzalez and others will all have the chance to see major PT with a number of starters injured or not playing the whole game to keep it that way.

Anyone know how early you have to get there to get a good seat?

[We don’t have the whole unit out there and I think they got good pressure on those.]

I'm going to guess that this means when we split the squad into two special "teams," it left a few holes that resulted in blocks. Our special teams will be just fine when we're all on one team.

Ginn made no special plays and muffed one punt that he recovered.
If he muffs one in a game I guarantee he still returns it for a TD. Coverage will be yelling "BALL!" and diving and Ginn will have recovered and be 10 yards downfield.

On the last play of the game, Trespasso had to get off a punt that was snapped from his own six-inch line. Gray rushed 11 players, but he got it off from the endline of the endzone and boomed one about 55 yards to seal the win.
Nice... real nice!

ST was a question mark for me... but it seems to have turned into an exclamation point.

I'm down to one question at CB and one at DL. Maybe they can get answered Saturday.

Who is Chattams at WR for the Scarlet? Is Angelo back on the team?

I'm fairly sure that I heard Angelo's back.

Also, I thought Devon Jordan had a lot of potential. He's listed as 3rd string on a split squad with a few top guys sitting. Not too good. Does anyone know the story?

Jordan is hurt.

Gray practically has the starting Defensive backfield. I can't see Scarlet scoring more than 21 points even with Teddy. You can bet the coaches are going to want to see more than "give the ball to Teddy". I think Gray's balance is going to be the key to the game. I don't think Scarlet will be able to run for much, and Gray will pound it early letting Smith take the play action route which will make him very dangerous. I like the Gray team in this one.

Of course the Gray team is handicapped with Bollman.:roll2:
