You Reds fans will get a kick out of this, but obviously AZ didn't used to have a baseball team so the Reds were my favorite team and Eric Davis was my favorite player. I have a big 3 ring binder filled on those 3x3 pages of Eric Davis cards. Too bad his rookie card went from about $15/each to probably $2 each now.

When the AZ (Phoenix) Cardinals moved to AZ Neil Lomax was the QB and he had a yearly golf tournament called the Neil Lomax Quarterback Shootout at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ and I lived a 2 minute bike ride from there. I would get John Elway, Jim McMahon, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly autographs every year for a few years until Neil Lomax retired and stopped having the tournament. Also got a Johnny Bench autograph there from some other event.

It was nice having baseball spring training in AZ too because I loaded up on the autographs when I was young. Too bad I was stupid and got most of the autographs on a couple different baseballs instead of each signature on its own baseball. So I have Ryne Sandberg, Ken Griffey Jr. etc., all on the same ball with a bunch of other scrubs.

I have the same, I was so excited as a little kid I would get the bench coaches to sign my baseballs too.
