A man who was arrested on charges of beating up his grandmother told police he was angy because she did not make him dinner and because her dog was annoying him.
According to reports, Mesa police received a call from Kurtis B. Palmateer, 22, saying he had tried to kill his grandmother.
She said that Palmateer punched her in the face and kicked her repeatedly before she got to the bathroom, reports state.
The grandmother was taken to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital where she received treatment for a fracture to her left cheek, a fracture to her nose, two black eyes, and bleeding from the left side of her brain, reports state.
She was in stable condition and is expected to recover, according to reports.
