Anyone listen to lunch with a lb today? Buddy of mine said he called for edwards on youboty and teddy to lock down the other side of the field (breaston/avant) to free us up to blitz. anyone else hear this have any perspective on it?

I agree with putting Ted in on D (play him as much as possible, he is a star), but i think edwards should be doubled all day long, he is their go to, shut him down and i think we win comfortably

[SARCASM] Yes...I too agree with putting Teddy on D...even though i've never seen him play D before and have no clue what's going on in practice. And he is a freshman who hasn't gone against any WRs this year in a game, let alone good ones like Breston and Avant. But still...it's obvious he'll play just as well as Gamble did when we threw him out there. Tressel is an idiot if we don't play this guy on D.[/SARCASM]
News flash: Fox is gonna play!

Don't get me wrong. Teddy is great...but you can't expect him to be All-World and play both ways this game. It isn't going to happen. Our secondary has been pretty good this year compared to our offense...we need Teddy more on offense, and it's going to be a lot healthier than it was last week.

Sorry, but anyone, that's anyone, who really thinks that Ginn can go in--with not a single snap of experience on defense at the college level--and lock down any receiver, let alone Edwards, needs to get some sort of clue about football. Do you really think that if he's that good that he wouldn't already have been playing defense?

And don't even think about using the Gamble example...two totally different animals.

ginns play on d is dependent on the health of fox, salley and whitner.....

if two of those guys cant go at 90%....i would not bat an eyelash if ginn played d in passing situations....

youbouty on edwards
fox on avant
ginn on breaston....

mano-y-mano....show me what you got......

Even someone like Chris can get caught up in the excitement of a player. Besides, the initial post in this thread said, "Buddy of mine said...". We don't know exactly what Speils was calling for. Besides, my reply was directed more towards those who wholeheartedly agree with Ginn being tossed into the fire and expecting him to come out unsinged...

I said it, I have not been sold on Dustin Fox since day one. Not to back peddle but Fox is a Buckeye and I will support my Buckeyes but I dont think that he is that good. Talk to me.

Granted Fox has been injured the majority of the season but I dont think he even has an INT. Matter of fact he doesnt(I might be wrong).

What am I doing bashing Buckeyes on the eve of "The Game".

I might deserve a Rick James Slap.
