Game Thread Sparty at tOSU, Oct 1, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN

Sometimes a team needs to learn how to win.

It's not all about talent or coaching but about mental sharpness and the will to give everything on every play. That is different from effort, it's putting yourself in the correct position because that's where you need to be. This didn't happen today. The team is young. They have quite a bit to grow. This process cannot be rushed. They have to come together as a team at their own speed, it can't be something that is forced either.

You don't force chemistry. This teams' chemistry on offense was irreparably disrupted for this season the moment the suspensions were announced. There's nothing that can fix that but time.

We, as fans, have to give this team TIME and ROOM to grow. That is the only way out of this mess. I realize patience isn't a virtue that fanbases as rabid or as large as Ohio State currently enjoys has, but there's nothing to do about it.

One huge bright spot this team has is a good defense and decent special teams. They were put in bad spot after bad spot today and came through almost every single time.

As for the coaching, remember, these guys are in the heat of battle and making decisions on the fly. They may not work out to our enjoyment, but these guys are under the gun just as much if not moreso than the players are. It's going to be an ugly season. That happens.

Ugly seasons like this one seems to be turning into make the previous 10 years that much sweeter. Remember that the next time you are shotgunning your dog and kicking your beer.

Thanks Bauserman for keeping us out of a shutout!

Time kick some Husker ass. :oh:
:io:

I commend your sudden optimism for next week. I have 7 days to try to match it. Right now, I'm not feeling very confident.

Well brothers and sisters, this is officially the start of a long season. The thing that really makes me mad is I still remember the cooper years and I feel that TSUN is going to screw us hard like they did Minny. Well maybe this will help get Meyer.

Wait... It didn't start in Miami? It's already been a long season. Now let's KEEP Miller in the game, and try to boost his confidence a bit. Once he feels like he's enjoying himself out there, the sooner we'll see that dynamic QB we all saw while he was in HS.
