Has much been made about the hit that Verlon Reed took on that onside kick? The msu player wasn't playing the ball at all, he simply ran in there and smashed Reed and caused that knee injury. Not to mention it was a blow to the head to boot. That really sucks for Reed, and looked pretty dirty to me..........just wondering

You think any of us have sobered up enough to watch a replay yet?

Wait....that doesn't make sense.....You think any of us have been drunk enough to watch a replay yet?

I have only watched the onsides kick attempt. And the clip that was in that offense thread. Too soon.

I've been watching Ohio State football since 1968, and today was the most pathetic offensive overall performance I can recall...If you thought 2004 was bad, get ready for 2011...
I haven't been watching OSU football for nearly as long as you have, but just from within my time, I'd argue that the '04 game at NCST is in the running for that distinction of "worst offensive performance". The team had 73 yards passing and 64 yards rushing, for the game. Sure, they scored 22 points, but that was on scoring "drives" of 10, 34, 3, 1, 28, and -1 yards.

For that matter, the game at Iowa a few weeks later deserves mention here. 29 yards rushing (at 0.9 ypc, same as last week), and 150 yards passing for the game. And like last week, a good chunk of those passing yards came in garbage time, when the Hawkeyes were up 33-0 in the fourth.
