TP threw that interception because he doesnt have enough vision, that only comes with more experience. If JT would allow TP to blow the weak teams up like Florida and those other guys do regularly, TP may have had enough vision to actually score more than one TD

I wasn't trying to blame Pryor, but he simply did not play that well and it was little to do with play calling. People get [censored]ed about the O and balme Tressel, and he deserves part of the blame, but Pryor needs to start stepping up also.
im not claiming he did play well

or blaming the play calling for him not playing well

what im saying, and im sure most here will agree, is that the play calling in some crucial situations, where USC could had been potentially put away, was I guess mind boggling? way over conservative?

to me the crucial point in the game was that exact situation where they settled for 3 from the 1/2 yardline

I guess its kind of a two way thing

if they go for it, score, win the game, nobody is really complaining much about Pryor's performance

but since that wasnt the result, the opposite

I think OSU should've gone for it on 4th and G from the half yardline. Hell, they should've done a QB sneak on 3rd down. But they didn't and I think that Tressel deserves blame for that, but also Pryor deserves blame as well.

Pryor is a great talent, but he is still developing. Those saying that he should sit are being silly, but those not critizcing him are also incorrect. This happened with Troy and will happen with Pryor, only with even greater results. Patience is needed.

Oh, yes. There were some great moments of intense focus in this game, but not when it was most needed. Have to reach down deep and pull that out when it counts. Not easy; look how this board started to crumble - and nobody here has the investment a player does. But necessary.

I kinda disagree, I think they focused very well, maybe not perfect. Remember the LSU game? Running into the kicker, unsportsmanlike conduct, not blocking during a FG...

We are paying some serious dues to the CFB gods right now.

If you are younger than 40 years old you have seen tOSU win 1 NC. How does that happen? Was every piece of luck/fortune used up in 02? For some reason the CFB gods hate us but threw us a bone in 02?

I actually felt like the tide might be turning when the ball clunked off the post. A White Sox friend of mine told me I sound like a Cubs fan. Never a good sign for a fan of a team

At the start of the 4th Quarter did anyone else have the feeling that if we would just score one TD the game would have been over? I kept praying for just one touchdown everytime the offense got the ball lol. 22-10 the game would have been killed!

yea, that was my exact thinking

after the Saftey even

just 1 touchdown and they got this

the touchdown never came though

I've always thought this. I love it when teams step on an opponents throat. Develops a killer instinct/feeling of being invincible. Not sure what the mental state of the team is after they beat Navy by a few heading into the game with an SC team that put 60 something on someone.

Anyway, to your main point, yeah TP doesnt get the blow out reps he needs.

A-Pryor had an awful game. No way to sugar coat it.

B-Would have liked to have seen some bootlegs near the goalline-no excuse not to get Pryor mobile in those situations.

C-I liked the use of Saine.

D-I know it will never happen, but it would be awesome if the offense-players and staff-made an acknowlegement to the defense-staff and players-that they-the D-pulled more than their share of the weight tonight. Football is a team game, but it is the only team game in the world where college and pro players do not share offensive and defensive responsibilities. I have always felt a good HC should not try to sugarcoat offensive-defensive discrepancies in performance-the team team knows it, and the staff knows it-the magnitude of improvement necessary-and the mental effort necessary for improvement-by both players and staff-is not always equal on both sides of the ball. Being a teammate means doing your share-both players and coaches.
