Just got back from the game and all I can say is Wow.

Outstanding Defense for 3 and a half quarters.

Offense looked good in the first half, but didnt exactly capitilize. Second half was not so great, but we were playin Tresselball and it worked very well until the last 7 minutes.

The atmosphere was intense. The 'Shoe was rockin.

This looked like a great but very inexperienced team, that should dominate by the end of the year.

Overall, I was obviously disapointed by the outcome, but damn, the future looks bright.

Go Bucks!!! :oh:

Thank God. I don't think Tressel called a great game, but at least someone understands the fact that Pryor had a poor game and will have to learn from it.

sorry, but I cant blame Pryor or any player for losing this game

when you have the ball at the 1/2 yardline and settle for a field goal, that is playing conservatively to not lose the game, and when you do that you more often than not end up losing the game

Pryor's opening drive mistake yielded more points than the defense did for 3 full quarters.

I would have liked to see them go for the field goal or a 4th down conversion, but Pryor is still a pup out there. He's better than he was, but he has not arrived yet. Folks wanted Vince Young, well Pryor is well ahead of Vincent, who was shut out in his rivalry game in year 3. He was very inconsistent until late in that 3rd year, smoked UM in the postseason, became a passer in his FOURTH year, and won a title.

It's a tough pill to swallow tonight, and there are criticisms to be made, but as much is on Pryor as the playcalling.

I'm not sure what you mean, could you repeat it a 4th time?

Defense played one HELL of a game and impressed the hell out of me. Offense still has some growing to do, but you guys have to remember that this team is young as hell and especially on the offense side of the football. TP is only a true Sophomore is still going to continue to grow into a great player and great leader. The team and us fans have absolutely nothing to hang out heads about. Of course it's a disappointing loss, but if you're not excited for the rest of the season and the years to come, then get off the wagon. We still have 10 regular season games left and you never know where we may end up....so keep your damn heads up and continue to support our Buckeyes!!!......oh and FUCK M*CH*GAN.

O-H!!!!

Oh, and BTW our 2-minute drill needs some serious work. It's a long season ahead of us, and that's an aspect of the game that needs to be on point.
Oh, yes. There were some great moments of intense focus in this game, but not when it was most needed. Have to reach down deep and pull that out when it counts. Not easy; look how this board started to crumble - and nobody here has the investment a player does. But necessary.

I wasn't trying to blame Pryor, but he simply did not play that well and it was little to do with play calling. People get pissed about the O and balme Tressel, and he deserves part of the blame, but Pryor needs to start stepping up also.

Tressel ball is playing not to lose. That's his philosophy. He's won a lot of games so it's hard to question. However, if his record wasn't what it is against Michigan I'm not sure that the past 5 years have exceded Cooper level performances on the field.

See my edit. No, I don't think you're right at all to sidestep the obvious mistakes that the young starting quarterback made.

I guess its kind of a two way thing

if they go for it, score, win the game, nobody is really complaining much about Pryor's performance

but since that wasnt the result, the opposite
