It would be quite unfortunate if the first time the SEC plays USC in 5 years is against one of USC's weaker squads.I have some friends in SoCal that are big USC fans and none of them thought it would be a blowout. In fact most felt there was a strong possibility that they'd lose this game. Their D looks just as strong this year as it was last year. In a way I'd like to see them make it to the BCS championship against Florida or Texas and see what those teams can do against them.
I emailed the president of the block O with this suggestion:jmorbitz;1533888; said:The oh chorus at the end of that song gets me pumped just listening to the record. My adrenaline would be flowing if you could get 105,000+ singing in unison to start. Anything by Coheed & Cambria is lightyears better than Seven Nation Army.
If they could edit to just play the acoustic intro and when the band comes in, into the chorus, that would probably be one of the best "amp up" songs anywhere.
0:00-1:02, and 5:00 to 6:12, would not be beat if edited together and blasted in the 'Shoe. Chord progression plays well for O-h-i-o variations as well. Ans the solos shread.

If anyone knows of a better individual to email, let me know.First of all, kudos to everyone involved in that atmosphere on saturday night. That was unprecedented greatness. There was one minor problem though, part of the time it sounded like we were in Happy Valley.
Penn State is famous for stealing most of their meaningful traditions.
At Ohio State, the traditions are original (Script Ohio, Hang On Sloopy, Buckeye Grove, Brutus, Helmet Stickers) and not contrived like our unofficial rivals to the east.
- Seven Nation Army (youtube) - stolen from soccer fans, but they're known for it in CFB. Tons of other schools have copied this too.
- Zombie Nation (youtube) - same as above.
- "We are..." chant - too many before them to list here.
- Paternoville - stolen from Duke's Krzyzewskiville where students camp out before big bball games.
We have a suggestion from BuckeyePlanet.com that would be well known and lend itself well to OSU's current cheer:
Coheed & Cambria - Welcome Home Music Video
An O... H... I... O... animation on the big screen might help at first. Maybe people would just follow the lead of Block O without that. But please, no involvement of that PA loudspeaker guy who tells everyone how to do the O-H-I-O chant (seeing as they've done it by themselves for as long as they've been buckeye fans).
- At the 5:00 min mark, a group chants O-O-O-O. It would be perfect for O-H-I-O.
- At the 4:15 mark, it goes to a guitar solo, which could be the lead-in for longer cheers (say before a game).
- They already play this music before games, so it would just take some orchestration for the cheer.
They did a great job with the atmosphere on Saturday night, I just don't want to copy the copycats with that song. We can do better.
