I've found that you have to stay the fuck away from ESPiN and other sports media outlets when it comes to the Bucks. I seriously end up too pissed to breath most of the time.

I actually do the same for the most part. I almost never watch ESPN for anything other than a game but I get suckered in once in a while. They then remind me why I stopped watching. :wink2:

I live near Ann Arbor, and a friend told me that he heard from several people that the USC band played the Victors after the game was over. Now I don't really believe that this is true, since it would be really pathetic on their part, but does anyone know anything about this?

Is it possible your friend heard Tribute to Troy?

I went to the 2006 Texas game, and tOSU band played our song, as well as "We don't give a damn for the whole state of" scUM, after our victory. They won, they'll sing. Don't see anything wrong with that. Moving on .

I meant that they supposedly played The Victors, as in scUM's fight song, after they won the game.

I really have no clue. I don't think he actually heard it, but heard/read that other scUM fans thought they heard The Victors after the game, but they may have heard that though.

They were talking about the rumor of The Victors being played on the Detroit radio station yesterday. A few callers called in and said they heard it but I never did hear anything that confirmed it.

We are talking about stupid ass skunkbear fans and what they think they heard?!? I wasn't there but I would bet Pete Rose $50 that the USC band did not play The Victors. I would then double up that bet with Pete that those pathetic skunkbear fans heard a couple of similar notes to The Victors and since they haven't heard that piece of shit song played at the end of an OSU-scUM game in a meaningful manner in such a long time they only heard what they dream of hearing....that song at the end of an OSU-scUM game.

Ross Homan vs. Joe McKnight = mismatch. Were the Buckeyes a Tyler Moeller away from winning it?

Or how about the overthrown ball that hit our safety in the numbers, or the whiff on the blocked kick, or the inability to punch the ball in from first and goal? Were we just a left tackle away from victory? You can play those games till the cows come home.

The mismatch was linebacker on a receiver and a freshman QB with the mental quicks to spot it and take advantage. It happens all the time in the chess game. My favorite comes from the Fiesta Bowl game with ND, when Fat Charlie tried to cover Ginn with a safety. Teddy spotted it, gave the cue to Troy and bam! TD Buckeyes.

Those are examples of one-time plays that could have gone either way. Moeller is an example that would have played itself out over the course of the game and would have an impact again if they were to replay the game. Big difference.

I thought that it was a decent topic for discussion, since most BP'ers do have until the cows come home to play those games....

FWIW, I do not hear the same talk down here about how it was slow Big 10 versus fast USC.

It seems to be more McNight is a stud and TP looked lost type comments. Basically, the feeling is this was your game and it was booted.

Anyway, (and I know you don't really give a s*** what they say) there is much less negativity and the general consensus that you were the better team all night with an advantage, seeing as USC had a frosh playing in front of 106,000 maniacs, but that your decision not to kick the long FG and the 2 minute drive as Chinese fire drill was your undoing.

I only mention this to keep you apprised of what is being said, not to slam anyone or to validate the comments. If Cal rolls USC, then the boo birds will come out in force.
